Unreal that Rivers Homo is almost 40 and has a degree in English @ Harvard. He writes songs that sound like a 6th grader wrote them! Anyone hit up their comeback gigs in 2000? I was at Asbury & Irving. Remember the 'new songs' that they played? They should have ended it after that tour, since the 'summer songs' were never released (and they were pretty damn good too).

I don't think anyone would argue the gradual decline of Weezer over the years. But personally, I always thought that the genius of Weezer's songs was in the simplicity of their music and lyrics. I think his ivy league english degree is irrelevant; Weezer has always had simple, fun rock songs, and it's not like Rivers should change his lyrics to sound more like Shakespeare now that he has a Harvard degree. Just sayin.

Not sure how they sound live these days, but they definitely rocked it at Jones Beach back in...(google search)...2001. Damn. I guess that was a long time ago.

I saw Weezer in 05 and they were awesome live. I hope they play some of thier older stuff again because yes the red album does in fact suck.
