Weezer has become so terrible in the past 10 years that they are literally erasing my fond memories.

Weezer will sell fewer MSG tickets on 9/24 than Black Mountain will sell for Music Hall.

I thought this tour was supposed to be scaled down hoedowns with the audience bringing instruments and playing along with the band. Guess the "play the biggest places you can and get as much money as you can" won out. Good work RIvers. Nice to see you are full of bullshit just like everyone else.

Unreal that Rivers Homo is almost 40 and has a degree in English @ Harvard. He writes songs that sound like a 6th grader wrote them! God, even the subject matter"I'm gonna do the things that I want to do" WOW! dude your 40 and you're almost ready to do things you want to do!! He is Beyond Pathetic!! Harvard English department must suck. Does anyone like this band that is above the age of 12 years?
Posted by comments | August 5, 2008 7:45 PM
yeah, and are you one of those people under or equal to 12 years of age? last i checked, insulting people based on calling them gay and using that wonderfully clever cuomos pun was something someone in that age group would do. your spelling and lots of !!!! dont help either.
of course weezer is bad now, everyone knows it and insulting them is pointless by now. they will continue to be popular, their music will continue to get worse, their first two albums are good blah blah blah

Comments,it sounds like a 6th grader wrote your pathetic post.
'Dude','Homo'-atleast you sound like a grownup.

Anyone hit up their comeback gigs in 2000? I was at Asbury & Irving. Remember the 'new songs' that they played? They should have ended it after that tour, since the 'summer songs' were never released (and they were pretty damn good too).
Weezer: RIP

The Red Album kicks ass. I am so fucking excited.
Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 9:58 AM
Weezer is the greatest band in the world.
Fucking assholes.

I don't think anyone would argue the gradual decline of Weezer over the years. But personally, I always thought that the genius of Weezer's songs was in the simplicity of their music and lyrics. I think his ivy league english degree is irrelevant; Weezer has always had simple, fun rock songs, and it's not like Rivers should change his lyrics to sound more like Shakespeare now that he has a Harvard degree. Just sayin.
Not sure how they sound live these days, but they definitely rocked it at Jones Beach back in...(google search)...2001. Damn. I guess that was a long time ago.

new record is horrible and extras will likely be floating around outside MSG that night for cheap

I saw Weezer in 05 and they were awesome live. I hope they play some of thier older stuff again because yes the red album does in fact suck.

Weezer and AVA are both amazing.

Must suck to be you.
