More dead bodies found at the pool?

Sunglasses are cool. It's ironic how cool they are, even though one may assume they were so 80's -- but no, they are cool. Yuppies are cooler than native ny'ers. yuppies - hipsters are like interchangeable, ya kno? The coolest people... are they really stuck up... cautious... or are they cool? Being a Yuppie is ironic. Or are you Elite? uber elite mod faceboys for nyc. NYC the place of 911 -- where condos and banks conquer.

This place, this place.

Holly Miranda will also be playing at Zebulon tonight, before Miles at around 10. It is a rare solo show for Holly who usually only plays guitar and sings in Jealous Girlfriends. Tonight she will be debuting solo songs from a record she made with Dave Sitek that will hopefully be out next year. I will be there after the Sonic Youth show.

Today, August 30, is the birthdate of John Edmund Andrew Phillips (March 18, 2001d.), who was an American singer, guitarist, and songwriter. Known as Papa John, Phillips was a member, songwriter and leader of the singing group The Mamas & the Papas. He is the father of Jeffrey Phillips, Mackenzie Phillips, Chynna Phillips, Tamerlane Phillips, and Bijou Phillips.

In the wake of the 1982 breakup of the legendary Clean, brothers David and Hamish Kilgour continued writing songs together; adopting the tongue-in-cheek name Great Unwashed, they released the 1983 LP Clean Out of Our Minds, a collection of primitive home recordings with a slightly experimental bent. The record was well received by steadfast Clean fans, and with bassist Peter Gutteridge in tow, the Kilgour brothers played a handful of live dates. A five-track double single subsequently appeared, and in mid-1984 the Great Unwashed swelled to a quartet with the addition of Ross Humphries; however, by the end of the year, the group disbanded.

the "great unwashed" at pop tarts show is not the Kilgour/clean great unwashed.

Dear Lord,

May the rising waves of the sinking economy finally wash over these golden streets, dirty with the money of trust funds and talentless image chasing and return the city to its earlier state. May the vast, underprivileged, struggling immigrants flood the city like the waters of change that we so dearly need. Slowly reclaiming such spoiled, wasteful garbage rendering it useful again. Such terrible music and mediocre art receding to the bland midwest where it was spawned, or at least LA. LA can have it. Let generations grow with hard work and values and talent and soul.

Oh, things have been too good, too easy far too long. The time has come.

1:14, these people are not the reason you are living a meaningless, miserable, and lonely existence.

God Bless McCarren Pool.
