the Nudie suits are awesome.

Posted by mj | August 3, 2008 8:31 AM

yeah, the nudie suits are awesome, but someone should tell tweedy that he ain't gram parsons. at all.

Posted by Anonymous | August 3, 2008 9:53 AM

i thought jeff tweedys outfits last year were bad- holy shit- wtf is he wearing?

Posted by Anonymous | August 3, 2008 10:51 AM

Well, Manuel ain't Nudie either, but what ya gonna do?

Posted by Anonymous | August 3, 2008 10:52 AM

They stitched them themselves. ;)

Posted by Cassi | August 3, 2008 11:32 AM

Suits are cool. AT&T cut the feed for the encore, bunch of douches.

Posted by Anonymous | August 3, 2008 11:56 AM

there was no encore.

Posted by Anonymous | August 3, 2008 12:02 PM

they looked and sounded great. wish i could've gone, only saw it on at&t....

Posted by Anonymous | August 3, 2008 12:43 PM

What is "One Wing"?

Posted by Anonymous | August 3, 2008 2:05 PM

New song possibly will be on the new album.

Posted by Anonymous | August 3, 2008 2:15 PM

A new song they played. It was really good, though I don't really know what vein it's in. Maybe a continuation of the "Sky Blue Sky" songs....

Posted by Anonymous | August 3, 2008 2:16 PM

their last album was so fucking boring.

BEEF WITH RADIOHEAD

Posted by Anonymous | August 3, 2008 2:56 PM

yeah, i couldn't make that out. what did jeff say about radiohead? i don't think it was anything bad....

Posted by Anonymous | August 3, 2008 3:16 PM

he commented on how they had sewn their own suits and mentioned something to the effect that Radiohead doesn't sew their own suits. They wear clothes for the future (since Wilco were obviously wearing dated clothing). It was all said in good fun.

Posted by Anonymous | August 3, 2008 4:47 PM

that's right. i heard him say something about how they exist in the future or something, but it all sounded very playful.

both bands are awesome. the two most singularly important bands we have right now....

Posted by Anonymous | August 3, 2008 5:05 PM

If you mean boring as in incredible, you're right. Sky Blue Sky is a top notch album.

Posted by Anonymous | August 3, 2008 7:58 PM

sky blue sky was good, great, definitely, but its not groundbreaking like the two albums that preceded it.

its that time again.
tweedy should get rid of his band and get a new sound. it will be awesome

Posted by Anonymous | August 3, 2008 8:08 PM

Anon, 808; he should can everybody but Stirratt and Kotche and bang it out as a trio!

Posted by Freepster | August 4, 2008 10:10 AM

ok so boring or incredible? maybe incredibly boring?

Im glad i dont like wilco so i didnt have to worry about getting those stupid Warsaw tickets.

Wilco played a fine set indeed. For sure the goofy outfits were colorful, and made a better visual-most likely a fun, 'tongue in cheek' compliment to hometown Chicago. I'll add here, on day 3 we were blown away by a guy named Newton Faulkner; an acoustic guitar 'virtuoso' from across the pond-looked like a shaggy haired 'bard' who just stepped out of the Black Forest-he ended his set, I kid you not, with an acoustic version, in it's entirety-'Bohemian Rhapsody'-just amazing. And most incredible, 'Saul Williams', just shockingly heavy, great lyrics and message, and they had a 10 yr. old girl sharing vocals-check both out!

For any one who feels this band is boring, I urge you to watch the video posted by BV (thanks!)

This set was all I hoped it would be. Still gives me chills watching it. Not too crowded. Kind of like you had them to yourself.
