Yo La Tengo & Titus Andronicus playing last free Pool Party
M.I.A. @ McCarren Pool (more by Bao Nguyen)
According to the NY Times,
Aug 03 - Black Lips, Deerhunter, King Kahn and His Shrines, Tall FirsThese are all free, Sunday shows (2pm-dusk) @ McCarren Pool in Brooklyn (thx Tom).
Aug 10 - the Felice Brothers, Eli (Paperboy) Reed, Langhorne Slim, Deertick
Aug 17 - Aesop Rock, Chin Chin, Panther
Aug 24 - Yo La Tengo, Titus Andronicus, Ebony Bones
Eli "Paperboy" Reid is also playing Union Hall in Brooklyn tonight. (August 1).

YLT are not some bullshit radio band like MGMT.
They barely sell out webster that is 1500. the pool is like 5500 tix. who knows how many when free.

this show will probably get packed by 2 PM, but I bet a bunch of those dummies will get bored and go to the Turkey's Nest and listen to Journey (or whatever one does at that place) 3 songs into YLT's set.
that's why I love them: they're so amazing, dumb ting tingers can't even begin to get it.
