Talking about Mercury Lounge, i suggest any New Yorker's going to see Glint on Oct 3rd @ 10:30PM for just $12. I promise it will be a show to remember. Visit their site at http://www.glintonline.com

Tuesday looks terrible. Which one of those bands is supposed to draw a crowd? Wed. would be great if it was all one show. Only really stacked show is Saturday.

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2008 4:46 PM

Mercury Lounge never has advanced tickets for their CMJ shows

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2008 4:47 PM

yeah friday and saturday sound like the only worthwhile lineups

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2008 5:12 PM

actually, all the bands on tuesday bring a shitload of people to their shows.

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2008 5:12 PM

The only thing truly stacked here is Natalie Portman!

Tuesday is no better than a random night at Mercury. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday are all pretty solid lineups.

BV, Are you doing day shows this year?

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2008 10:26 PM

Other lives @ 7:00 on Friday night just signed to TBD records....The new Radiohead label.....the band is freaking insane live.

Hockey is playing for free on Friday at Rehab. thats gonna be the shiiiiit

Oh you snotty bloggers, so quick to judge. Have you listened to any of the bands on that Tuesday slot for CMJ? Happy Anarchy just won Band of The Month for The Deli Magazine (a much less prestigous blog site than Vegan, I have to say that before someone responds with it) Thing-One have been making dope music for roughly three years now and their latest album "You'll be fine" is pretty solid. Listen before Judging.

Jeremy spoke in cla-ass todaaaaaaaaaaayyy...

Posted by Eddie Vedder | October 15, 2008 10:40 PM

Sorry bro, didn't realize how dope Thing-One is. Yeah, on second glance thats a much better Tuesday night bill than Jens, Ponytail, and Passion Pit. Have fun with that.

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2008 11:45 PM

I love Passion Pit. I remember seeing Thing-0ne with Ra Ra Riot at Maxwells last year; they're pretty fun. Been hearing about them here and there lately.

Really? I dont believe that.

Posted by Anonymous | October 16, 2008 11:41 AM

They were just on WOXY Cincinatti for new tunes tuesday. I like the song Through the Winter they played on the radio.
