i try and try and have never been able to enjoy this guy's music. whats his best album?

A Man Under The Influence or the Bourbinitis Blues EP. The latter has more cover songs, so that may not be the best representation of his own songs, but the opening track (I Was Drunk) kinda encapsulates everything he does in one song.

Bourbonitis Blues is probably his best all around record. However, if you really want to hear a full throttle, no holds barred, Neil Young and Crazy Horse style attack I highly recommend the Buick McKane CD. It rocks. Period.
