they should adjust the set times to get rid of the les savy fav / silver mt. zion conflict.

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2008 10:37 AM

we wouldn't want to miss any silver mt zion crescendos, would we?

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2008 10:58 AM

I'm ignorant. The only band I was really looking forward to seeing on Saturday was Autolux.

Would someone please show me the light and tell me what bands to check out on Saturday?

Much appreciated...

AGREED!!!

Anyone driving back from ATP on Sunday? Crazy, I know...but I have two friends who have to be back in NYC by Sunday night. Trust me, they're not happy about missing MBV and all the other stuff that night. Let me know if you're in the same boat and can share a ride. Aside from screwed up priorities, they're awesome people.

Autolux puts me to sleep...in a good way.

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2008 11:19 AM

Sucks. Was really looking forward to them...

i'm willing to trade my extra ticket for roundtrip transportation? Anyone have space in your car for me and a friend

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2008 11:46 AM

this sucks. ruined my day

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2008 11:58 AM

ATP wont be the same. this really brings the party down.

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2008 12:58 PM

I thought I was the only one who was bummed by the Le Savy Fav / Silver Mt Zion conflict. Totally opposite bands, yet both phenomenal live shows. Hope Autolux's disappointing disappearance can at least eliminate that conflict.

Polvo!

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2008 1:00 PM

ATP will rule! with or without this band!

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2008 1:01 PM

I have one extra ticket email me - gsurov@gmail.com - I am just looking to trade it for a ride to and from ATP!

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2008 1:06 PM

wow, i had no interest in autolux to begin with.
looks like they just changed around the posted schedule on the atp page, or at least reposted, but autolux is still on there.

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2008 1:09 PM

Babies RULE

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2008 1:36 PM

I dont even want to go to ATP anymore. Anyone want to buy my ticket?

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2008 1:40 PM

I cant believe how many people care about autolux! why arent we selling records!?!

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2008 1:41 PM

i can't belive how many people are selling tickets on craigs list!

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2008 1:51 PM

i hope the douche-o-meter isn't as off the charts as i'm afraid it will be among the crowd at this event. anyone hear about steve albini's idea for atp baseball saturday and sunday morning?

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2008 2:18 PM

just saying "douche-o-meter" qualifies yourself.

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2008 2:22 PM

i think i'll listen to autolux on my way home from work tonight, now that the idea has been planted in my mind. disappointing, but of the bands i wanted to see here, autolux is far from the most anticipated. they'll be back around soon enough.

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2008 2:23 PM

if they'd rather attend the birth of their children than go to upstate new york and play beautiful music for the gentle loving people there, maybe they just don't WANT IT BAD ENOUGH.

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2008 2:37 PM

"I cant believe how many people care about autolux! why arent we selling records!?!"

Dear Autolux,

In short, it's because you take MBV-long between albums, you rarely tour in New York and when you do you're really weird and aloof with the fans. We think you're kind of dicks.

See, we're used to getting everything we want all the time here and when a band ignores us like you do we get pissy.

But we still really really wanted to see you this weekend.

Love, NYC

ps- we would have bought lots of merch...

"but of the bands i wanted to see here, autolux is far from the most anticipated. they'll be back around soon enough."

Of all the bands that weren't around in 1994, they're the band I wanted to see the most. By far. And it's the same for everyone I'm going with.

Posted by Anonymous | September 16, 2008 5:30 PM

I caught them opening for Secret Machines in '05 and at the merch table Ms. Carla was quite gracious and seemed really appreciative of all the positive comments and new fans they had gained on that swing through NY.
