Dude needs to chill with the neck beard

But yeah, sick show. Haven't seen a crowd party/dance like that in a long time.

Olsen look alike near the front right stage last night was hottttt

Last night's show was amazing....honestly it will be hard to see other bands after seeing two nights of cut copy

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2008 12:23 PM

holy backing track! i cannot believe these guys are so popular!

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2008 12:27 PM

The Presets truly stole the show. I like Cut Copy's albums better, but The Presets are just insane live.

Presets > Cut Copy. Both were great and both had the crowds moving, but the Presets played the better set. Really impressive. It's shows like this where I have faith in NYC crowds...dancing hard on a Sunday night.

On of the best Shows I've seen in a while. I love Cut Copy and they were good but I agree, the presets Fucking killed it!
Sunday night dancing rocks!

The Presets were good, I agree with that. But Cut Copy was the highlight of the evening. Their performance was better and the crowd was way more into it. Regardless, if you're going tonight, prepare to dance.

This is exactly why I love BV. I'm thinking about getting off my old, jaded, sleep-deprived-because-I-have-baby ass and going to the show tonight, and wanted to find a post on the show last night telling me it was worth it. Lo and behold, BV has it. Can anyone tell me what time Presets and Cut Copy went on?

Posted by Josh | September 22, 2008 1:10 PM

True.. Presets did kill it.. Cut Copy's sound was just so muddled.. Still it was a fun set..

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2008 1:17 PM

Presets went on at 9, Cut Copy at 10:30. I'd guess the same tonight despite a different opener.

This has got to be a record of most comments without any haters!

Great show! Definitely worth it.

"Olsen look alike near the front right stage last night was hottttt"

Haha! I totally did a double take last night!

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2008 1:31 PM

Olsen look alike, are you reading this?? you have a lot of fans, haha

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2008 1:36 PM

wait, maybe that was Olsen....shes a hipster, no?

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2008 1:37 PM

i wouldn't be too surprised. i stood near her at radiohead at APW.

Seems like there are a few extras on CL today.

Was it possible to get reasonably-priced tix outside the venue on Sunday?

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2008 1:53 PM

were there big guyers next to her? Would she go anywhere w/o a bodyguard?

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2008 2:07 PM

Yeah, I was the tall guy in the front standing next to them...I'm not a bodyguard though

Posted by Anonymous | September 22, 2008 2:27 PM

"were there big guyers next to her? Would she go anywhere w/o a bodyguard?"

I'm sure she needed a bodyguard for those dangerous elektro fans

Show was sick, and I couldn't believe the energy in the room. But the whole back-track thing was a huge buzzkill for me. I couldn't get over how much of their show is pre-recorded, and how little of their sound is actually produced live.

I guess when it comes down to it, the end result is what it is: And that's an awesome, fist-pumping dance party. And maybe I'm being a picky musician, but there's something so off-putting about watching them hold their instruments and not really play them. Just kinda whack, that's all.

This show was a *ridiculous* amount of fun... holy shiiiiiiit!! Cut Copy were amaaaazing, and the crowd was really into it, which was such a refreshing change from most awkward indie dance shows. I was really impressed with The Presets too, they put on a really fun show. Great light set-up too. :)

presets = total domination

Posted by the dominator | September 22, 2008 10:48 PM

One of the best shows I've ever seen - amazing! Anyone who can make a nyc crowd move like that (whether you're into their music or not) deserves much respect. Presets were fucking dope!

Posted by adamv | September 23, 2008 9:05 AM

The Presets were better because the sound quality was ridiculously better than Cut Copy. Still, Hearts on Fire was definitely the best song of night! I wish Cut Copy was louder. Amazing show.

Holy Shit! What a freakin party that was!! my legs are killing me today. I had a blast. Presets for the win! They rocked that place. The feeling of that floor bouncing under my feet was awesome.

Posted by kenzo | September 23, 2008 10:13 AM

everybody that night just wanted to dance non-stop, i don't think cut copy really recognized that. especially after how pumped up we were after the presets, they were kind of a letdown.

Posted by Anonymous | September 24, 2008 10:01 AM

These guys rock! And please don't call them indie. im australian and these blokes have been tearing up the dance scene for a number of years back home, not to mention a masive fan base in the UK, always with sold out shows. im so f*cking happy that everyone here in NY loves em also and that the crowd didnt just stand around but got heaps into the action with a wee bit of fist pumping and jumping about. i thought cut copy should have gone on first cause they r way more chilled out and sound more brit-house-pop or wateva and then presets should have blasted out the remainder of the night and turned up the volume. i just wanna dance dance dance...

Does anybody have the setlist from Monday's show???

Posted by kachang | September 24, 2008 4:55 PM

The show was AWESOME! I flew in from LA last thursday to visit some friends but the main point of my trip was to see this show and it didn't disappoint. Not sure how NYC crowds normally are, but both the Presets and Cut Copy had everyone around me going nuts. We even ran into the Cut Copy singer later that night at a bar and he was cool enough to chat it up for a bit and take a picture with us. Good times. Cheers
