Hanna

The debut of the East Village Radio Music Festival may be delayed by one day due to the heavy rains and gusty winds expected for New York City throughout Saturday, as tropical storm Hanna moves up the East Coast.

The festival, which is scheduled for 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, September 6, may be moved to Sunday, September 7 from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Organizers will evaluate the weather conditions on Saturday morning at 6 a.m. and determine if the festival will go forward on Saturday, or be delayed one day until Sunday.

Complete second stage lineup below...

"On The Side" @ Seaport

Lil' Dusty 1:30
Bunnybrains 2:30
Hex Message 3:30

In Boris related news... NIN has announced the 2nd North American leg of the Lights in the Sky tour. Openers include HEALTH, The Bug, Deerhunter (again), and of course, BORIS.

Closest date to the tri-state is a tiny club show in Atlantic City. HEALTH opens that one.

God I hope it gets postponed. Seeing Carcass and Boris on the same weekend would rule.

THE FESTIVAL IS POSTPONED UNTIL SUNDAY -- SAME TIMES, SAME LINE UP -- CHECK EASTVILLAGERADIO.COM FOR MORE DETAILS.

Posted by Anonymous | September 6, 2008 1:05 PM

They already suspended the Mets game a few hours ago, before the game even began. Must be pretty bad, for now and for the rest of the day.

Bv posted a set time for KRS, but East Village Radio's website has no such time. It seems KRS is only hosting, and not playing a set. Anyone know what's up?

I'm more of a music guys than I am a sports guy, but I'm not sure of this now. And I don't feel like going into another bar down at the seaport just to check the scores. Hell, I can do that on my phone. I would kinda like to watch the games. And now that the Phillies/Mets will be a double header tomorrow, I don't think Boris and company are going to do it for me.

Posted by Anonymous | September 6, 2008 2:58 PM

Yep, it totally did fuck up my flight home. Guess I'm on a 9 am out of ORD tomorrow instead. Sleeping in was nice, that's for sure.
