Glasvegas

Glasvegas were set to kick off their North American tour in Boston tonight (9/29), but then this letter was sent to ticket holders...

We regret to inform you that the Glasvegas show scheduled for this evening has to be canceled. James Allan has run into visa issues in the UK and won't be able to get to America in time for the show. We're bummed too. Refunds will be available via the good folks at ticketweb. There's talk of an early January reschedule date so stay tuned.
At the moment Glasvegas is still scheduled to open for Echo & the Bunnymen at Radio City on Wednesday and then play a sold out show at Mercury Lounge three days later with Angela McCluskey and Wild Light (thx Chris).

I think Glasvegas should open for Oasis during their US tour in December. Both Alan McGee signed bands. Could be awesome. I know Glasvegas is opening for Oasis during the Electric Proms over in the UK. Hope it goes well.

I am looking forward to seeing Glasvegas. Hope the shows will happen. I would surely never buy tickets to any show that has the Oasis name attached to it.

"Isn't half their album cover songs?"

Nope.

So Oasis can get in, but not Glasvegas.....

You hipsters make me sick. Go stand in line to watch Nick and Norah's infinite playlist this weekend.

I just listened to their music on their myspace site. Truly awful, wonder why they are so popular...

Posted by Anonymous | September 29, 2008 3:55 PM

sorry hipsters, you will have to trade your tickets in for a bigger vneue then

"us tour will be postponed till jan"

not true

Theirs is far away from the kind of music most hipsters like. A typical clueless hipster respond to their music would be "Who?" or Anon 3:51's "truly awful" comment.

Wall Street is a mess, pay attention to your 401K's, not hating on Oasis.

Oh wait, none of you hipsters from Williamsburg even had a 401K prior to the market crash.

Trust funds 4 life!

This band is incredibly good... I really, really hope the Mercury Lounge show still happens. I'd highly recommend scalping some tix and checking out this gig to anyone who hasn't heard of these guys yet.
