photos by Abbey Braden for atp 2008

Harmonia is a Krautrock supergroup from Germany. They formed as a collaboration between Michael Rother of Neu! and Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Möbius of Cluster and later included British ambient music artist Brian Eno. [Wikipedia]WFMU broadcast Harmonia's ATP set on Saturday. You can download the MP3.
You can also add Harmonia to the list of ATP artists who are playing a NYC show today (Monday, 9/22). Theirs is at (le) poisson rouge and White Williams is also on the bill. More pictures from their ATP performance below...

i just finished reading 33 1/3 book on David Bowie's LOW album. Book said these guys were among Bowie & Eno's kraut-electronic influences.
Anyone enjoy the set?

Bowie actually wanted Michael Rother to play guitar on those Berlin albums, but his management didn't pass on the messages, probably hoping Bowie would work with a bigger name.
Michael said he found out about it years later, when he heard an interview in which Bowie said Michael had turned him down, whereas Michael had actually been told by intermediaries that Bowie had chosen someone else.
Another great might-have-been...
Great show last night!
