People giving away ATP tickets on Craigslist

ATP

It seems like a lot of people are stuck with very-expensive, very-far-out-of-town tickets. I know at least two people who are pretty sure they're going to eat a pair. You could probably go to the sold out ATP Festival this weekdend for free, or almost free, if you try hard enough.

Does anyone know who's opening for MBV on either of the Roseland dates?

Posted by Anonymous | September 19, 2008 6:25 PM

If All Points West had this lineup it would have sold out in about two minutes.

what if they gave a big alt.rock festival and nobody came?

Posted by Anonymous | September 19, 2008 9:42 PM

I purchased a Saturday APW ticket for $50. It's very easy to find cheap tickets to big events.

Posted by Anonymous | September 19, 2008 11:06 PM

And as it turned out, you could easily have gone to APW for free on Sat with the broken scanners!

Posted by Anonymous | September 20, 2008 1:14 AM

my apw ticket (to saturday) was $30, but as someone else noted, the scanners were broken so you could've just printed a ton of ticketfast sheets to get anyone you want in.

i'm at ATP fri nite 2:30 am.
they checked credit card at the reception
and told me that they don't let in tix holders
that can't show the CC they've used to purchase
the ticket with !!

and about the "it should've been at MSG" remark,
you didn't get what ATP is all about.

btw it's great here, mostly real cool crowd,
nice people, no BV whiners.

Posted by danidin | September 20, 2008 2:09 AM

I got 2 tickets for 100 bucks. No credit card, got in without a problem.

Last night I stayed at my apartment and listened to all my Shellac records -- no problems getting in and a very chill crowd.

marvelous last comment

Posted by Ron | September 20, 2008 10:54 AM

i'm at ATP Saturday.

This was a huge waste of money. Its not what I expected at all.

I wish I were home eating burritos.

Posted by Anonymous | September 20, 2008 10:58 AM

I got AC/DC tickets for MSG
Sick isn't it?

Posted by gregory | September 20, 2008 11:03 AM

Not what I expected either! This is lame.
And Thom Yorke is not here. Whoever you are, meet me by Steve Albini so I can beat your face in.

Posted by Brian | September 20, 2008 11:09 AM

My Bloody Valentine sold 20 million records. I wouldn't call ALL of these bands lame. You should've bought a ticket to Roseland show, if you don't like the other bands.

Posted by Anonymous | September 20, 2008 11:12 AM

MBV didn't sell 20 million records. That's incorrect. They're not Radiohead. And I paid for this bullshit before they announced the Roseland shows.

Anyone offering a ride back to Brooklyn?(micholo73@yahoo.com) This sucks.

Posted by Anonymous | September 20, 2008 11:16 AM

beware of craigs list rip offs.

Posted by Anonymous | September 20, 2008 1:02 PM

My Bloody Valentine at Roseland is not sold out btw.

Posted by Anonymous | September 20, 2008 1:10 PM

I love you 10:17.

Posted by Anonymous | September 20, 2008 1:41 PM

MBV didnt sell out? But they sold 20 million records. lol!

Posted by Anonymous | September 20, 2008 2:59 PM

I got 2 tickets off craigs list for 100 bucks! it worked for me!

Posted by Anonymous | September 20, 2008 3:00 PM

This whole festival turned out to be a joke. We all want to see MBV. No one cares about the other bands. Most of its empty. I shouldve got tickets to Roseland. This was a waste of money.

Posted by Anonymous | September 20, 2008 3:11 PM

WFMU is streaming a lot of the shows live...inc. Yo La Tengo, Dino Jr, but not MBV.

Posted by Anonymous | September 20, 2008 3:12 PM
