Q-Tip

Q-Tip played a FREE album release show last night (September 29th) at the almost-extinct Tribeca Knitting Factory in NYC. Earlier this month Q-Tip (and Kanye West) made an appearance at a Consequence show at the very same club. Last night Consequence returned the favor. Busta Rhymes also joined Q-Tip on stage. Well not sure i would be that effusive about it. I mean i have been to many many hip hop shows and this was very good but not the level that this neophyte above says. The new record has some bangers on it but also a lot of filler. More amazing than any of this is the fact that it was a free show and not even close to being sold out. Weird.

^^^

At 745 there were like around 100 people outside, and the bouncer said the venue was at capacity ..

there was a line down the block for this and many people left upset they couldn't get in .. so you would be very incorrect in saying that it was not sold out .. i should know i waited for a while ... the door guys were kind of jerks by the way... power trip..

All I can think of now when I see Busta Rhymes is that stupid Pepsi Max commercial.

We were in the place to be for this one and it was fire. He only rocked for like 45 minutes. But the catalog of music that he ripped through made it feel like a lifetime. I'm still in awe that he did not perform Bonita Applebum. Because nobody even noticed or missed it. This felt like the ushering in of a new era of Hip-Hop. Graduate School!

Hey Anon 8:38pm here. Maybe i was wrong about the sold out part but when i got there at 7 when they started letting people in there was not that crazy of a line yet. I am pretty sure my friend showed up around 7:30 and he got in with no problem. Plus I have been to many Knit shows that seemed much more packed inside then this one. So the door people wee full of shit telling you that it was at capacity.
Although honestly showing up at 7:45 for a free 8pm show is ridiculous. You deserve to not get in and all i can say is nyah nyah. No sympathy here.

Also 11;14, you are a complete idiot with your nonsense hyperbole. It was a decent ok show. Nothing to crow on about or make seem like something much more special.
