It's cheap compared to Madonna

thx! Same night as soulwax though. Hopefully will be able to catch both. Figures that cmj would have the only dance acts worth catching on the same night

Who? I don't mean that snarkily. Should I have heard of her before?
Also, is sales tax supposed to be collected on ticket purchases?

Fuck. I've been waiting for her and now I can't see her. Say hi to Ed Droste for me.

"Fuck. I've been waiting for her and now I can't see her. Say hi to Ed Droste for me."
Where will you be instead?

"Who? I don't mean that snarkily. Should I have heard of her before?"
If you are from the US, don't worry, you are normal.

"she must have mafiya money behind her, $50 for an unknown? bs."
Yes, because the mafia have the power to force people to buy tickets.
She is not unknown in the gay community.

Cheaper than Madonna - and better too.

Roisin's awesome. I saw Moloko back in the day... she's got it. Can't take your eyes off her.

" $50 for an unknown? bs."
i love how people think that because they have not heard of someone that the artist is "unknown".
do some research before you speak.
Posted by Anonymous | September 5, 2008 2:56 PM
also it's $30 if you buy today

Roisin is a class act. Look her up on youtube and see her dazzle on Jools Holland........
Posted by Anonymous | September 5, 2008 3:46 PM
Seriously? Nobody here would hit it? Come on. Say it. You know you want to.
Posted by Anonymous | September 5, 2008 4:03 PM

I just can't do it captain I donn't have the power.
Posted by Anonymous | September 5, 2008 4:16 PM
got me some (less) expensive tickets!
Posted by Anonymous | September 6, 2008 1:36 AM
God bless amercians for their foolishness.
Posted by Anonymous | September 8, 2008 7:18 AM
an unknown? no offense, but just because you don't know of someone doesn't mean they're an unknown.
then again, I agree. I've been a Roisin Murphy since her Moloko days and have bought both of her solo records (and have been thoroughly impressed!). But dang, that's way too much for a first US show. I know that she puts on a good spectacle, but still...

Yes, I don't think everyone does know who she is...
But those who do are flying across the country to see her! They know that this is a once in a life time opportunity.
It's going to be a fab event.

Due to the courthouse fire that destroyed his birth certificate, no one's sure of Mr Jack's exact birthday. All we know is that it was sometime in September 1850 so the good folk at Jack Daniel's celebrate all month long, culminating in the hotly anticipated Birthday JD Set at the distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee.
Win tickets for you and a friend to travel to the US for the ultimate birthday celebration where you can raise a toast to Mr. Jack in the company of this year's rousing line up - Roisin Murphy, Tim Wheeler (Ash), House Of Lords (Young Knives) and Hugh Cornwell (Stranglers former frontman)
Each artist will be backed by the New Silver Cornet Band - a group of session musicians from Tennessee which includes Steve Cropper who co-wrote "Sittin on the Dock of the Bay" and David Hood of 'Muscle Shoals Sound'. This hugely talented band was formed in memory of the original Silver Cornet Band formed by Mr. Jack back in 1892, thus starting JD's long standing love and support of music.
Just 200 people will be lucky enough to attend the Birthday JD Set and experience a night of unforgettable solos & unique collaborations which help make it a once in a lifetime rock and roll experience. The gig takes place on BBQ Hill overlooking the Jack Daniel Distillery where every drop is made.
The trip (17 -19 October) includes a southern style barbecue, tasting and tour of the distillery, travel and four star accommodation. Entrants must be over 21 and UK residents with valid passports. Age, ability to travel and compliance with US immigration criteria must be verified within 3 days of prize notification.
