I saw them at the Green Room and walked out after 3 songs, boring waste of money.

I lasted 2 songs, if you can call them songs. Walked out. It's basically an excuse to see Vincent Gallo in person. The music is insignificant and boring, even for free form jazz bands, if that's what Rice thinks they are.

I saw them as well. But it was with the dude from Hole, and some drag queen. Looks like they got the boot for the Haas brothers.

i paid him $40 to fuck my mother-in-law. She gave me my money back.

Posted by Anonymous | September 11, 2008 11:26 AM

Your mother-in-law is lucky, you could have gave $5 to Dan Deacon....

Vincent Gallo is an overrated, worthless, uber right wing piece of trash. Why is he famous? Buffalo 66? The guy is a one hit wonder, and essentially the male equivalent of an art crowd groupie.

Posted by Anonymous | September 11, 2008 11:46 AM

His album on Warp was awesome.

Posted by Anonymous | September 11, 2008 11:55 AM

Buffalo '66 is a pretty awesome movie.
Vincent Gallo is merely the biggest troll in the entertainment business, because he knows he's fucking with you and he knows that you're so worked up about it. The guy fucks with people and succeeds. That makes him not overrated. He's rated for being the successful troll that he is.

Brothers are fraternal twins named Simon and Nikolai Haas. Like Lukas, they are also musicians.

that is from imdb.com

Even I wouldn't hire these scummy losers.

The guy on the right is Shane Botwin in 10 years.

"The guy fucks with people and succeeds."

So what? I'm still waiting for his music to fuck with me...

I see Gallo around where I live and maybe he's a good guy - but MAN does he look like a fool!

glad to see all the vegans in brooklyn are so friendly and open

Posted by Anonymous | September 11, 2008 6:27 PM

I have no need for this pussy-ass Republican douchebag.

Posted by Anonymous | September 11, 2008 10:18 PM

Simon and Nikolai Haas are incredibly talented musicians... no accident Gallo chose them.

Posted by Carl | September 22, 2008 5:30 PM

talented musicians? neither of them has ever played in any band before. from what I can find online, simon is a painter. he has a website about his painting. has never played any instrument or been in a band before. nikolai has only ever played with vincent and his brother. I think gallo chose these two because they are twins and will continue to push his freekshow idea along. he doesnt care if they can play or not as long as they look weird.

Posted by Anonymous | September 23, 2008 12:33 PM

I reallly want to like this band. I love the concept, not that its such a new idea for a project. But I was at the green room show, and it was not good.

A cool idea executed poorly, like the Brown Bunny. Gallo should stick to comedy, he's good at it!

Posted by Gallo fan | September 23, 2008 12:46 PM

They're twins? phew! No wonder Lucas is the successful one.

hoo wah!

Posted by Al | September 23, 2008 12:47 PM

Their show in santa barbara was incredible. The Haas brothers are amazingly talented the perfect compliment to Vincent.

Vincent Gallo is a complete original. i wonder why you many of you are made so uncomfortable by him. his work is so beautiful and his humor is top top level. pick on someone else as your comments are average and obvious

Posted by Carter Wright | October 9, 2008 8:47 PM

I agree with the above post. Vincent Gallois one of the top talents out there in the world and he does his wonderful work without any mainstream support. One day younger folks will use Gallo as a role model for a freethinking independent lifestyle. It is sad however that in todays world a sensitive poet like Gallo lays fair game for a bunch of unhappy anonymous posters to vent their unhappy mood onto. It is a sign of our times when a radical hero like Gallo gets bullshit thrown his way while a bunch of conformist get high praise. Fuck Johnny Depp, Coldplay, Matt Damon etc , hail to Gallo
