URSULA VON RYDINGSVARD
An active and influential member of Socrates' board since 2000, Ursula has been a champion of young artists and a dedicated member of the Socrates family since participating in one of the Park's earliest exhibitions, Outside In, in 1987. She is a widely respected artist who has garnered critical acclaim while earning the admiration of her peers. Ursula's signature massive cedar structures are in the public collections of many distinguished cultural institutions including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, Storm King Art Center, Laumeier Sculpture Park, the Walker Art Center, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. She has had a recent show of her outdoor work at Madison Square Park.

SHARON JONES AND THE DAP KINGS 8:30-10:00PM
Join us for an exclusive waterfront concert by the Soul / Funk sensation, Sharon Jones and The Dap-Kings. Sharon's command of the stage in packed venues across Europe, Canada, Australia, and the United States has earned her the titles 'Queen of Funk' and 'the female James Brown'. Her band, The Dap-Kings, who recently toured with Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson, have redefined a classic 60's retro sound with an irresistible raw groove.

Guests will have the opportunity to purchase a limited edition artwork by Michael Joo, representing the first in a series of specially commissioned projects that pairs Socrates' artists with local Long Island City manufacturers.
