Another scenario that usually spells madness is Moby's Degenerates party at Hiro. A friend and I were just talking about how these parties had seemed to stop all of a sudden. We were very glad to find out they are back! Moby plays great, balanced sets of both new and old electronic and classics while bringing in guests to help keep the floor packed for the rest of the evening. This week's guest deejays are Russell and Matt from Bloc Party. It also happens to be the afterparty for their free show at Roseland.

Trentemoller is at Cielo. He's been on my "to check out" list for at least a year and it still hasn't happened. Perhaps it's for the better. From the live tracks he has on his myspace it sounds like some nice, subtly banging, atmospheric electronic music that could have left me crippled with indecision regarding what to do Thursday night had I become familiar with it earlier.
