Born Ruffians

Plants and Animals and Born Ruffians are on tour. Last night (10/27) the show was at Mercury Lounge. How was it? Tonight the show, after being moved from Union Hall (was 21+), is at the Bell House (now 18+). AND, Born Ruffians added a 3rd NYC performance at Sound Fix, also tonight, October 28th at 7pm. All tour dates HERE.

not a big born ruffians fan but i thought they were good last night. p&a were fantastic and should've gone on second. crowd totally sucked and was talking throughout their set.

Any ideas of set times tonight? What were they last night?

As the band noted, many times, it the best NYC Born Ruffians show ever. Place was packed. Lots of singing along. Two new songs. They've come a long way from that disastrous Galapagos CMJ show back in '06.

wow, i think i was at a different show. plants and animals truly showed they couldn't host their own show last night - they lost the entire crowd a few songs into their set. other than two standouts, they need to focus more & tighten up to make it more worthwhile. born ruffians on the other hand was a great dose of energy even for the most cmj-weary attendee.

last night, set times were p&a: 10, born ruffians: 11.

is this going to sell out or will i be able to get tickets at the door?

why not call the venue and ask?

The Bell House doesn't answer their phones. The show at Mercury Lounge didn't sell out till the last day. And Bell House is maybe 25% bigger than the Merc and in the middle of nowhere. So it shouldn't sell out. But both P&A and Born Ruffians were brilliant last night.
