Neutral Milk Hotel was the worst live show I've ever seen. Why would that be good?
Posted by nsfw | October 7, 2008 6:14 PM
I'd give my left nut for a Stone Roses reunion.
I'd give my right one for Fugazi.

"everyone will be LET DOWN is Radiohead aren't there yet again"
no shit dumbass, radiohead hated coachella. playing after the pixies was awful for them. we dont want them there anyway
Posted by Anonymous | October 7, 2008 6:52 PM
6:52 is an idiot. Yea seeing radiohead really sucks. Dumbass
Posted by Anonymous | October 7, 2008 7:11 PM
^-- you obviously never read any articles regarding thom's reaction to coachella. they wont play again, youre an idiot.
as said before - coachella innovates, not regurgitates. fresh new acts are what make it great festival, bringing back radiohead is silly and overdone
Posted by Anonymous | October 7, 2008 9:27 PM
^ yea radiohead, silly and overdone. wow
Posted by Anonymous | October 7, 2008 9:36 PM
i think hes sayin that its overdone for coachella, not overdone in general. of course it would be cool to see them, but coachella aint about that
besides radiohead will be in the studio next year
Posted by bobby the rookie | October 7, 2008 9:42 PM
if the ice cold turd peppers can headline once every four years then radiohead should be able to headline once every two years. and 2009 will have been FIVE years since 2004. you fucking cunts fail at logic and math.
Posted by Anonymous | October 8, 2008 1:56 AM
"then radiohead should be able to headline once every two years"
i dont think any band has ever played a fest every 2 years

The Smiths!
From NME:
Speculation has renewed that The Smiths may be on the verge of reforming.
According to a report in The Sun today (October 24), the four original members are close to signing a deal that would see them performing at the [urrl=http://www.coachella.com/]Coachella[/url] festival in California next year.
It is suggested that Morrissey's new manager - former MCA records boss Irving Azoff - has been instrumental in the proposed deal.
A source is quoted as saying: "It has looked impossible in the past but suddenly it all looks like it could happen. The buzz around the people who used to work for the band is they could play Coachella for a ludicrous amount of money.
"It's closer than it's ever been. The split was a messy affair, but time's a healer."
Posted by Anonymous | October 24, 2008 6:37 AM
The Suns completely fabricated LIE has already been debunked by people from both parties.

Are Pavement coming back for Matador's 20th next year, though? I've been watching The Slow Century DVD like crazy lately and I so long for that era.....
Posted by Anonymous | November 3, 2008 11:09 PM
i know this isn't even close to being true, but if
Friday: Oasis
Saturday: The Smiths
Sunday: The Stone Roses
happened, I would probably sell all of my material possessions to get the money to go that.
Posted by Anonymous | November 3, 2008 11:21 PM
I agree, that festival lineup would be insane. Manchester bands galore. Maybe get bands like Kasabian, Primal Scream, Ocean Colour Scene, Glasvegas and Doves involved. I love dreaming about fake festivals.
Friday: Glasvegas/Kasabian/Oasis
Saturday: Kula Shaker/Doves/The Smiths
Sunday: Ocean Colour Scene/Primal Scream/The Stone Roses

All I want for Christmas is that festival idea to actually happen. Please Santa............................................................
Posted by Anonymous | November 4, 2008 12:05 AM
Just keep the Kaiser Chiefs, Keane and Snow Patrol away from any festival and it is bound to be decent.
Posted by Anonymous | November 4, 2008 6:41 AM
When will Primal Scream tour the states again? Their new album is bad ass. Check it out people.
Posted by Anonymous | November 4, 2008 8:19 AM
Anybody ever hear of the band Sergeant? They have a couple of singles/EPs but no real album. I heard they are good.
Posted by Anonymous | November 4, 2008 8:22 AM
I bet this year's Coachella lineup is lame and predictable.
Friday: Kings of Leon
Saturday: Coldplay
Sunday: The Killers
Besides Kings of Leon, that lineup would suck.
Posted by Anonymous | November 4, 2008 8:32 AM
^-- including kings of leon, that lineup would suck
Posted by Anonymous | November 4, 2008 8:42 AM
My sources claim that Goldenvoice wants Sunday to be a more family-friendly day for the locals (a la Glastonbury) and that they are trying to get Brian Wilson or Stevie Wonder or Paul Simon to play.
Posted by Anonymous | November 4, 2008 10:01 AM
I would wet my pants if that line-up were true
Friday: Glasvegas/Kasabian/Oasis
Saturday: Kula Shaker/Doves/The Smiths
Sunday: Ocean Colour Scene/Primal Scream/The Stone Roses

The Prodigy arena tour ends early enough for them to fly to Coachella to play Sunday.
Is No Doubt really headlining? Lameassness.
Posted by Anonymous | November 10, 2008 10:43 AM
Yes, please don't trust me.
Blog update for those that care enough.
And no, No Doubt isn't headlining. Nor is Outkast. And Tribe probably won't be there either.

Well, hopefully Jarvis decides to wait and just reform Pulp.
I'll look into Ladytron. They'd make sense, no?

Well, Jarvis is already working on a new solo album, so it would be at least 2010 before a reunion. Unless he did a one-off for those neglected Americants.

If you have Stevie Wonder, why not Billy Joel or Hall and Oates?
Posted by Anonymous | November 22, 2008 12:36 PM
That's ignorant, don't be ignorant. The Stevie Wonder rumor originates from him playing smaller Goldenvoice venues occasionally. David Byrne will be there, however.
