Led Zeppelin in Central Park, 1969
Led Zeppelin

"As you probably know, Jimmy [Page], Jason [Bonham, son of John Bonham] and I are actually rehearsing and we've had the odd singer come in and have a bash. As soon as we know -- which we don't -- we will let you know. But we really hope that something is going to happen soon because we really want to do it and we're having a lot of fun, actually, just rehearsing. Jason is actually tremendous. . . We really wanna do something and Robert doesn't want to do this, at least for the moment. I don't really know what his plans are. He really doesn't want to make loud music anymore. We do. I mean, I love acoustic music, but it doesn't stop me from turning something up . . . And what we've done so far sounds absolutely fantastic. When it does come, it will come, and you'll know about it."
That quote is John Paul Jones speaking on the current status of Led Zeppelin. To that Robert would probably say he wishes them "nothing but success". Video of John's full statement below.

Led Zeppelin, Robert included, reunited in December of 2007 in tribute of Atlantic Records impresario Ahmet Ertegun.

Robert Plant has otherwise been keeping busy with the "acoustic" music he's making with Alison Krauss. Video below...

"Led Zeppelin: the most overrated entity in the history of sound."

I would be willing to be that that comment was made by someone who is under 18 years old.

Led Zep usually makes me feel nauseous, but this is a new level for me...

I love the Zep - their music still stands up and mops the floor with most of the indie noodling that passes for rock nowadays. That said, they should let it rest. I'm sure Page and Jones could cook up some great new music and take it out on tour, but just don't call it Led Zep.

Posted by Anonymous | October 27, 2008 1:09 PM

Pretty sure comments bashing Led Zep as anything less than the most important rock band of all time do not need to be addressed.

Posted by Drugs Delaney | October 27, 2008 1:22 PM

1:22... didnt you just address them?

Posted by Anonymous | October 27, 2008 1:28 PM

no, people who think this band is that important are idiots. led zeppelin flat out sucks. i'm no hipster, and i'm over 18, so shut up. if a boring overblown blues rock is the most important rock band of all time, then i guess rock music really sucks.

Obama!

Posted by Anonymous | October 27, 2008 1:34 PM

"We really wanna do something and Robert doesn't want to do this, at least for the moment."

He should have added: "Robert doesn't need the money and to get laid, but we do".

Posted by Anonymous | October 27, 2008 1:43 PM

oh people, relax-
Obama will bring us all together, no matter what Robert Plant thinks is a good direction for the country with his war hero record and no pork-barrel projects, and Sara Palin home excercise VHS tapes from the 80's.

Wait, what are we talking about...??

Posted by Anonymous | October 27, 2008 2:03 PM

MAXINE NIGHTINGALE!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | October 27, 2008 3:12 PM

Oh Jesus, this is great! It's like when the dead came back and they were like yeah we have this amazing lead singer.... JOAN OSBORNE...UGH. I bet it's someone like Tracy Chapman.

Posted by BOBBI | December 9, 2008 2:27 PM

THEY NEED TO GET JEFF BLANDO, HAVE YOU EVER HEARD HIM DO HIS TRIBUTE TO LED ZEPPLELIN WITH THE BAND CRASH? OR ON STAGE WITH VINCE NEIL OR SLAUGHTER? IT IS AWESOME.
HE WOULD DO A GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!

Posted by bobbi | December 10, 2008 11:28 AM

Jeff Blando would sing the crap out of Zeppelin. I've seen him every year at Daytona & he does the best Zeppelin medley I have ever heard HANDS DOWN.

Posted by franco | December 10, 2008 11:53 AM

Pink should do it ,that girl could DO IT !!!

Posted by Grant B | December 16, 2008 4:00 AM

whoever said zep sucks is an idiot and should be sent to siberia- obviously they were born in the "me generation" and are fixated on fucking iphones to communicate their emotions.

Zep was the ultimate mother fuckers and will remain.

No one has come close and they cannot have a band without Robert- that is a plain joke.

it's about chemistry.

so all you lame asses who can imagine something different are plain out to lunch.

Posted by Lindsy | March 5, 2009 6:50 AM

Just don't forget that Yes is better than Zeppelin in every way and you'll have nothing more to argue about!

One remembers that life seems to be high priced, however some people require money for various things and not every one gets big sums money. So to get some business loans and collateral loan would be a proper way out.
