gotta love that BV journalistic ethics. you think YLT has been doing it longer? why bother to check, or anything?

and where is the indie cred scale?

Posted by Anonymous | October 16, 2008 12:22 PM

12:22, this is a blog. Journalistic ethics don't apply, didn't you hear. Besides, it's BV, he is an indie cred scale. Wake up, c'mon.

if any of these 8 shows come close to selling out, Elijah will return

Posted by Anonymous | October 16, 2008 2:12 PM

Matisyahu and Asher Roth? Well, I guess if you're going to get Asher Roth fans off the beer pong table, you might as well put them somewhere else tacky and Caucasian. God knows it's a better fit than opening up for Heltah Skeltah, which was disasterous.

Posted by Anonymous | October 16, 2008 2:21 PM

retard phillies fans kept my up all night blowing their fucking horns. YEA MAN SPORTS ARE MY LIFE BRO.

Posted by Anonymous | October 16, 2008 2:51 PM

this sucks for the non-jewish people...the one show in NYC i wanna see on this is on Christmas! f-ing A...i hope maybe the 21st show will be an awesome opener. thats the same night as Wu-Tang @ Starland though

nyc has a huge jewish population. matisyahu is huge amongst high school/college age jews. this will sell well.

"nyc has a huge jewish population. matisyahu is huge amongst high school/college age jews. this will sell well."

We have better taste than that...

Posted by Anonymous | October 16, 2008 8:12 PM

Matis has sucked since he left Jdub. First time I've ever walked out on a concert. Unwatchable, unlistenable.

Posted by Anonymous | November 3, 2008 3:07 PM

"if any of these 8 shows come close to selling out, Elijah will return"

Funny shit!

Posted by Anonymous | November 3, 2008 3:34 PM

You people are retarded. Get off of your fucking high horse. All Matis does throughout his stage show is try to communicate his love for his religion and his beliefs and his music. And his band is comprised of musicians who are talented and passionate about what they do. And if you like hip-hop and miss Nosson Zand you're just a fool.

Just try to do what these guys do every night, let go of yourself, have fun and love what you do...and maybe, just maybe you'll enjoy yourself.

PS I was at the Asher Roth show as well as the first night at Webster Hall, as well as the Philly show and each show was better than the last. Let me see any of you make a mix-tape and get picked up by Jay-Z's label. Maybe then you'll be qualified to pass judgement.

PPS Asher Roth show was sold -out.

So you can all eat a bag of dicks.

This is not the first time Matisyahu did this, but I think Yo La Tengo has been doing it longer.
