hey -- are you guys going to have a post about all the free cmj parties? (with rsvp links/emails?)

i see lots of bands are posting sponsored and i'm guessing free cmj parties on their myspace calendars with no news about how to get on lists (yet).

thanks.

I saw Kylesa open for the Hidden Hand at Europa 18 months ago. They were hilariously bad..rife with their cookie monster vocals and poorly worn studded belts. They are the Spinal Tap of Shitcore/grindcore or whatever they consider themselves to be. Rob Halford should mow 'em down with his chopper.

im really happy they wore band t-shirts...now i know what bands they like.

you are an idiot, this band is great and have evolved in various ways from when they first started in the early 2000's. They also do not have "cookie monster vocals", seriously they are not Syracuse Hardcore. I am fairly certain they have been around for 8 years or so at this point.

I really do not think "shitcore/grindcore" is a genre any band that would play with pinback or let alone play the mhow or bowery would ever give themselves or be classified into.

the other great part of your post is "poorly worn studded belts", should this be contrasted with well worn studded belts? how should we go about spotting the difference.

I think the Rob Halford allusion is the only explanation you need regarding a properly-worn studded belt!

Duh, a "well worn studded belt" is slightly akimbo going from upper left hip to lower right hip. Now you don't want to much angle or it will look goofy and impractical and not enough angle will result in you looking like some guy from the chess club trying to be cool. Come on people this should be common sense by now.

Who the fuck thought it was a good idea for Kylesa to play with some college-rock pop band.

Saw this combo in Austin a couple of weeks ago. I've never seen two sets of fans so different from one another.
