I didn't know Ben Folds played bass for Ra Ra Riot

great performance by ra ra riot ruined (for me, anyway) by the douchebags in the back half of the room who talked loudly throughout.

"douchebags in the back half of the room who talked loudly throughout."

Welcome to every single concert in New York.

they are really gowing on me and the fact that their cellist is unreasonably sexy has nothing to do with it...okay, maybe it's responsible for like 16.58% of it. Still, I like these guys.

It's kind of crazy that no "i'd hit its" are directed at the violinist, so I'd like give send her one.

Posted by Anonymous | October 17, 2008 5:52 PM

I'd hit the string section.

Posted by Anonymous | October 17, 2008 6:08 PM

i've never appreciated a string section more.

I'd like to run a tag team on those two girls. I truly believe this is possible for me and that this will happen sometime in the not too distant future.

Nice upskirt snap on the top photo.

I've given this a lot of thought.

And I realized that there's no other way to embellish it or decorate it, this feeling I have inside.

This calls for a back-to-basics, hearty, resounding:

I W O U L D H I T I T.

Caught the Walter Meego/Ra Ra Riot tour at the Local 506 in Chapel Hill last weekend: small room, better crowd. Post and pics here: http://www.feastofmusic.com/feast_of_music/2008/10/chapel-hill.html#more

Morning Benders played too.

its amazing to me that ra ra riot has such a devout following. I thought Walter Meego and the moneynotes blew them away at music hall last night. to each his own.

Posted by Anonymous | October 18, 2008 3:47 PM

pete, your pics aren't better.

Posted by Anonymous | October 19, 2008 12:51 AM

and the moneynotes were incredible but ra ra definitely played an amazing set

Posted by Anonymous | October 19, 2008 12:40 PM

Yes, amazing show. And the violinist is mad cute.

Is it me or have they gotten MUCH better recently? I can't wait for another NYC show.
