"Rocky Erickson, founder of The 13th Floor Elevators, recently grew a beard (he's grown one before, but this is a new development). I saw him a few years ago sans barb, and at ACL he was donning this thicket. It's obvious -- he looks rather healthy and quite a bit more svelt than ever." looks better w/ the beard...
one of the true giants. that we have the chance to see him play live shows (excellent live shows, i should add!) is a gift from the gods of rock.

Not to sound rude but this picture of roky makes him look a great deal like this homeless guy i always in on Ave A between east 2nd and 3rd asking for change. I'm not saying to be a dick, he just looks exactly like him with the beard. Crazy!
