Everyone knew from the mid-card placement that this wasn't going to be a massive band. I think its a great add.

Really good addition. Tomorrow should be awesome.

Amazing add. They were phenomenal last time they played WHOM.

"passion pit is sick but not worth it to go to BK ...they are playing so many shows"

moron

Music Hall of Williamsburg is hardly in BK -- it's a few minutes from Union Sq. on the L, noob.

shearwater is incredible. their show at lpr tonight was phenomenal. the acoustics in that place are unreal.

They were kinda boring at MHW last time, but I'm fairly pleased, not a band I'd pay to see again, but happy enough not to be paying extra for this line-up. At least things will pick up with Ponytail.

You don't go to see Shearwater expecting a crazy wild show.
I saw them at MHW last time. I wouldn't call them boring at all. They sound great live, and are a fascinating band to watch and enjoy.
Thor.

"mid-card placement"? shearwater headlined the Music Hall of Williamsburg last time they played the city and tickets were maybe $15 just for them. this is a great addition. i was already going but thank you BV.

Does anyone have any extra tix?

Posted by Anonymous | October 21, 2008 5:01 PM

whoa this show sold out?

THE WORST DISAPPOINTMENT EVER

Jens Lekman djing shit that I could find in my own CD collection (Janet Jackson???)

This show was advertised to feature Singing DJ Jens Lekman. That means to me, Jens Lekman using a turntable and a drum machine and signing his own songs. Not bobbing his head to Janet fucking Jackson.

When my friend bought the tickets, it didn't even say Singing DJ. I want my money back!!!!

BOOOOOO!

Posted by Nicole | October 22, 2008 12:17 AM

Nicole...you bought tickets to a showcase! NOT a Jens Lekman concert. All along on Brooklyn Vegan it said Singing DJ, and included a link to an explanation about the show.

And...obviously since you posted this complaint at 12:17pm, you didn't stay for more than a couple songs of his set. So how are you to know that he didn't sing more? Which he did!

Posted by AstoundingSounds | October 22, 2008 1:00 AM

Nicole just got Pwned. jens rulez. ponytail kicks butt. passion pit was very fun & good.

Posted by sloweducation | October 22, 2008 1:07 AM

It was made very clear from the beginning that this wasn't going to be a straight Jens Lekman set. If you thought otherwise, you fail at the internets.

Posted by Anonymous | October 22, 2008 1:30 AM

I'M SO MAD I COULD KICK OUT THE DRUMMER OF MY BAND AND BLAB ABOUT IT IN THE INTERNETS

Posted by Anonymous | October 22, 2008 1:47 AM

Jens sang a bunch of his own songs at the end of his DJ set. The entire room was dancing the whole time. Good times.
