Soulwax/Pete Tong/LOTP show reduced in price, set times

"I still can't believe this is $55." [madmang]

Pete Tong

"New York, NY- The economy may have fallen on hard times, but that is no reason any New Yorker should have to miss the premiere of Pete Tong's "Insiders Music Series" on October 24th at The Fillmore New York At Irving Plaza which has become one of the most anticipated events of CMJ week. To prevent this impending crisis we are introducing the "Hipster Bailout" plan. Beginning today a limited number of tickets will be made available for $30.00 while supplies last. Once exhausted, a second limited allotment of tickets will be made available for $40.00 with all tickets returning to normal pricing once these allotments are fulfilled or the day prior to the event, whichever comes first.
Tickets are at Ticketmaster.

I also have a pair of tickets to giveaway for this show. To win them, email BVCONTESTS@HOTMAIL.COM (subject: LOTP). Include your first and last name, A winner will be picked at random and contacted.

Dear Anonymous 1:23: You have no idea what you're talking about. Have you even checked out any of the excellent acts on this lineup? You'd probably benefit more than most from watching the Soulwax documentary.

Also, does anyone know why the tickets still show up as $55 on Ticketmaster.com & Livenation.com ?

Ha! You're retarded. Who listens to dance, or trance or whatever these losers play nowadays? Go listen to Straight Ahead ... you wuss!

The $30 tickets are up at ticketmaster. The surcharge is still 9.50 per ticket!

If you don't want to pay the ticket master surcharge, buy it at the irving plaza box office.

These tickets were reduced becaue they were too expensive even in better economic times.

Look guys, we can't play Sufjan Scrabble in our Ian Curtis sweatpants *every* Friday night.

Fuck, yeah. I'm in BV history, now. Showtrotta sent me the notice and I went on BV and wow. Thanks, brooklynvegan.

Yeah, if you're smart and want to avoid $9.50, please go the venue and get your ticket ASAP. This is a show you don't want to miss considering this lineup and NOW that you're saving $15-25 (considering how soon you get 'em)

i already paid $55 - less than thrilled with this. obviously not selling like they thought. could be a good thing.

soulwax tore up irving plaza a month or so ago - tore it up...

is it all gone?

Posted by Pete Tong | October 16, 2008 4:55 PM

I just bought them for $30

late of the pier and the whip are playing at music hall of williamsburg on the wednesday of cmj...better venue, cheaper tickets. yes soulwax is gerat but the original ticket price is crazy. $30 + $9.50 service charge is still kind of ridiculous.

So Soulwax basically get to play twice (last time I saw them play as Soulwax it was still basically just a DJ set with some songs off Nite Versions), but Luciano, FUCKING LUCIANO, plays for one hour?! WHAT THE FUCK.

Ticketmaster link is closed. Is this show sold out?

Posted by Anonymous | October 20, 2008 8:08 AM

I called the Irving Plaza Box office yesterday, and they're charging $55 face value plus a $2 service fee. They're not honoring the discount.
