Suicide @ Europa (more by Zach Dilgard)
Suicide @ Europa

All of the originally-announced openers for tonight's MGMT show at Webster Hall (10/30) have myseriously been replaced by just Suicide, which as someone pointed out is a bit of a travesty from the point of view of Suicide=legends=openingForMGMT, BUT according to Martin Rev's MySpace, they are technically co-headlining. MGMT also play Music Hall of Williamsburg on Halloween.

Suicide play their own show at Europa in Brooklyn (again) on December 11th with A.R.E. Weapons as opener. Tickets are on sale.

This is truly insulting.

I'm sure all the teenie-bopsters will appreciate Suicide...

I'm sure they'll get heckled and booed. That makes me sad.

Suicide have endured *far* worse than the heckling of some hipsters. They'll be fine.

Suicide unfortunately are only a shell of their original fantastic self. I never saw them in the day, but I've heard live recordings and today they are just sad. Very sad.

you should have been there tonight, they were awful! to open or at least come before an act like MGMT? they have a completely different sound. not a good choice. they were very much out of place.

this girl I met described suicide best. "they sounded like they were pre-gaming with MGMT in the back and just as joke decided to go out a play"

Skipped suicide, but got there just in time for MGMT. They started up pretty good, played the crowd pleasers early, and then descended into some crappy shell of a decent show. Every upbeat song was followed by a buzzkill. WTF?

If you're trying to get tix for the show tonight, definitely don't pay a lot, or you'll be severely disappointed.

dont pay more than 30 bucks to see mgmt. i'm a fan of them, both the album and live show, its just not THAT entertaining. You sort of have to entertain yourself.

Wow, even their "fans" are admitting that they're not as good as all the hype suggests. 18 months, tops, then poof!
