3:15 PM - Akimbo in the Knitting Factory Old Office
Akimbo LIVE @ Fontana's 10/21/08

Kicking the heavy off in the RIGHT way at 3:15, new Neurot signees Akimbo. Akimbo played the SolidPR event on monday and from their performance at that showcase alone, it's easy to see why everyone wants a piece of these Seattle punks. Their new record Jersey Shores drops on tuesday...

4:00 PM - Made Out Of Babies on the Knitting Factory Main Stage
Made Out Of Babies

Made Out of Babies hit the stage at 4PM. Imagine a reeeeaaally pissed off PJ Harvey fronting The Jesus Lizard with touches of Neurosis riffing. Yeah, I know. That's why we booked 'em!

5:00 PM - Rival Schools on the Knitting Factory Main Stage
Walter & Ian of Rival Schools LIVE on 10/20/08 (more by Bryan Bruchman)

Which brings us to our 5PM "headliner"... the heav(il)y-pedigreed post-hardcore heroes Rival Schools, who are playing their first public show in NYC since their reunion! Their upcoming November shows at Maxwell's and Mercury Lounge sold out months advance.
And if ya missed it, check out part one of my interview with Walter & Sammy.

6:00 PM - Trap Them in the Knitting Factory Tap Room
Trap Them Live in Haverhill, MA 10/21/08 (Rev Aaron)

Whaddaya think? We're going soft? Trap Them hits the Old Office at 6PM with a furious melding of thundering Entombed-riffage, His Hero Is Gone's sickening crust, and blast-beat raucousness that will surely tear the Old Office a new one. Trap Them is preparing to drop Seizures in Barren Praise on Deathwish November 11th.

7:00 PM - Vreid in the Knitting Factory Tap Room

Maybe you caught them with Krallice at the Vice party at The Studio last night....Closing out the metal portion of the night, the blackened mist of Norwegians Vreid seeps into the Old Office at 7PM bringing forth a thrashy apocalypse. Hide your children.
Vreid's new album, "Milorg" is scheduled for release on January 5, 2009 via Indie Recordings.
VREID @ Ragnarök Festival in Lichtenfels, Germany - March 2008
