Tobacco @ Mercury Lounge (CMJ), NYC - pics
Photos by Gabi Porter

I didn't get the chance to catch (Black Moth Super Rainbow frontman) Tobacco this CMJ, but the reviews I heard ranged from "amazing" to "good visuals" to "totally pointless live show" (aka he might as well just hit play). What did you think? On Wednesday night (10/22) he shared a bill with Sebastien Grainger at Mercury Lounge. A few more pictures from that below...

If you didn't already, grab the "THE HOOD INTERNET vs TOBACCO & AESOP ROCK" mixtape at The Hood Internet.

might as well just hit 'play'.
and maybe next time actually make it lineup with the visuals. it wasn't off by much, but it sort of defeats the purpose.

it looked and sounded fucking great!
i'm not sure what the last person was watching - it looked perfectly synced up to me.

he actually plays more live stuff than most people out there, using actual analog tape machines and synths, i think it's kind of odd to assume that it's all from a laptop without checking it out.
