gotta say, bunnymen at radio city was a Wow, especially "Ocean Rain" itself. Worth it.

first set at Echo was spotty at best.. The Cutter, Back of Love were highlights but People are Strange and that awful new song felt out of place. The Ocean Rain set was REALLY fantastic.. and the pictures of the band at their peak was a nice touch... At sea again....

Loved the Bunnymen show. They were really excellent tonight - a great improvement over last 2 Irving Plaza shows. An extraordinary night! I agree about the photos - I didn't want to miss one. -

Hey guys, someone throw a tribal [rock&stuff] nyc fest so we can all praise the earth and music and feel the love.

note to bands doing the 'album' show: play the album first. that's what nearly everyone was there to see. kind of embarassing having synth strings and shit on yr new song (!?) when you're about to perform your best album with a real string section.

that said, ocean rain was MAGNIFICENT in spite of oldsters that cannot behave. why was everyone so pleasant during the first set and chattered or worse (glowstick doofus on 1st mezzanine) during the good stuff....

Ben Folds was fun last night, but I forgot how "white" his shows are. That crowd was frigging lily white. Worse than Coldplay.

Posted by Anonymous | October 2, 2008 10:12 AM

Maybe the crowd would've been more diverse if he had played "Bitches Ain't Shit."

Posted by Anonymous | October 2, 2008 10:35 AM

lily white.

yeah, like you.

a self-hating, guilt-ridden, elitist peice of shit.

go kill your parents for making you that way.
