The Veils have added another show tonight, at Union Hall, 9pm. Kristen Schaal hosts the comedy show early, Veils later with special guests.

Pavement was just a prelude to Steve Malkmus' solo records. No one seriously loves Pavement more than SM solo records. Pig Lib or Crooked Rain? I'll take Pig Lib!

Next Thursday 10/16, at Noon, Nader and Gonzalez will be holding a rally at Federal Hall on 26 Wall Street to protest the Wall Street Bailouts.

That should be 'independent' (with a lower-case 'i') since (if I'm not mistaken) there's an Independence Party. Also, since he's not running as the candidate of any party, he wasn't nominated.
