Xiu Xiu

Xiu Xiu's only upcoming show (that I know of):

"We auctioned off terrible art last year - you loved it and begged for more. We're bringing it back so start saving your money now. We'll auction off the bad art for a good cause and all auction proceeds benefit our charitable partner, New York Cares. Hosted by comedian Judah Friedlander of 30 Rock, the night will be rounded out with a full set performance by the band Xiu Xiu. Come early and enjoy complimentary cocktails from Cape North Vodka, complimentary drinks from Glaceau, and the chance to win a brand new Gibson Guitar or a pair of Saucony Originals!" [NY Magazine]
The location is (le) poisson rouge in the West Village. Tickets are on sale at NY Mag.

In semi-related news, Xiu Xiu's Kill Rock Stars labelmate and ex-tourmate, Thao Nguyen, plays Bowery Ballroom in NYC tonight (10/30) and Music Hall of Williamsburg on Saturday. Deerhoof played some shows in NYC during CMJ and Horse Feathers will be back in town in November.
