This should be a great way to snooze in the new year.

A loud band. That's all. Boring songs.

These fellas know distortion.

this music is trash. seriously.

Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 12:52 PM

Holy s**t. This is gonna be awesome!! I'm so there!

why anyone would consider going to anything but My Morning Jacket on NYE is beyond me.

4 hours of RAWK at the garden. It's gonna be sweeeeeeeet.

wembley,
Do you seriously think MMJ “rawk”!?
You actually think MMJ “rawk” more than APTBS!?
Does “rawk” mean play mid tempo pop songs?

Anyone who uses the word “rawk” is an idiot.
APTBS ROCK, which is hard to find these days and no, MMJ does not rock.
Maybe if all you listen to is Beck and Matt & Kim or Bear Trainer or whatever, then yes, MMJ “rawk”
Idiot….

evil urges: the most disappointing album of the year.

I think APTBS have some really catchy songs, nicely hidden under some loud noise. Great stuff.

The Vandelles are also quite good. Their EP is a bit underrated. That should be a great way to bring in the new year.

Still waiting for these motherfuckers to ship the vinyl singles I already paid for that were supposed to be out before summer. I am never buying their records or tickets for their shows again.

Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 3:03 PM

yeah these dudez are scam artists.

Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 3:06 PM

I thought the New Pornographers were playing Irving Plaza on NYE. Is that still happening?

"Rawk" is kitchy. Makes me smile. If that makes me an idiot, so be it. Like I've said before, it wouldn't be the first time someone's called me an idiot on BV comments.

And no, I don't think that APTBS "rawk". They are loud, but most certainly don't "rawk". In fact, their live show puts me to sleep. They're almost as boring as Animal Collective live.

And I've never heard of Bear Trainer. I have most of Beck's records and I like seeing Matt & Kim. I wouldn't say that's all I listen to. I'm more of a Dylan freak.

Speaking of ROCK... that Eagles of Death Metal show last night ROCKED.

I think I'll go see the Damned and have a horrendous time.

aptbs are really good.

aptbs is aaight. i dig the vandelles better. 5th Ward Guns in the house. together, they will likely blow the roof off the mercury, so expect a winter breeze. respek.

The Vandelles are the best part of New Year's Eve show.

wembley: nobody cares what you think. shut the fuck up.

i heard that the Vandelles are supposed to be really good. one of my friends recommended them to me and after hearing a few songs I think they will be an awesome band to see live, so I'm definitely gonna be picking up some tix

sheesh!
all that & no one mentions how much patti smith has sucked since well, forever.
wow!

The Vandelles certainly ARE a great band to see, I have seen them & APTBS before, and this will be a fantastic show, despite the insanely nasty weather we are having here today. Thank god for snow boots.
