Crystal Antlers - 2008/09 Tour Dates, BV party pics
words by Black Bubblegum, photos by Leia Jospe

Despite it being one of a zillion performances they scheduled that week, Crystal Antlers played to a packed room downstairs at Pianos during the Brooklyn Vegan Day Party on Oct 23rd. Combining keys, additional percussion, tape echo, and white wayfarers to their tribal post-punk, Crystal Antlers pulled from their critically-acclaimed EP (out now, catch it at their myspace) and added lots of energy and volume. Fun band to watch, and quite the contrast to a-different-kind-but-still-very-fun Pwrfl POWER that was strummin away upstairs. Friendly Fires also played this show (and that's what motivated me to post this now). Check out more pics and tour dates (CA and Europe), below....

i like crystal antlers, but they would be a hell of a lot better had Comets on Fire never existed.

Where the fuck IS Comets on Fire these days? Enough with the solo projects.

I love keyboards in all kinds of music. What an untapped resource.

agreed. crystal antlers are pretty cool, but man comets on fire make anything remotely proggy and psychedelic hard to match up. i wish they'd come around again too or put a new record out or something. howlin' rain is all-right but no comparison.
