If i wanted to watch a coked-up bitch flail around to noise in room with nothing on but a strobe light I'd hang out with my ex-girlfriend. Thanks, but no thanks.

Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 3:35 PM
are Blonde Redhead really big enough to play T5? Maybe they should switch venues with Crystal Castles.
Posted by wembley | November 18, 2008 3:35 PM
"underplays" is a misnomer
"overpays" is a lot more apt
MHOW must be getting desperate to be throwing this much money down the drain for publicity

maybe blonde redhead should play a free show to make up for those hundreds of fans that waited for hours outside the gates at pier whatever over the summer, in pouring rain, only to be told that the show was canceled.

"YAH TOSHIBA! CLASSY CRYSTAL CASTLES! YAY FOR THE STATE OF THE INDUSTRY! GIRL TALK! I REALLY MISS ELVIS!"

"You probably miss rotary phones too. Welcome to the digital age!"
Not as much as I miss visionary musicians.

"Who would actually wanna see a place to bury strangers on new years?"
a place to bury strangers fans, probably.
Posted by Anonymous | November 19, 2008 12:52 AM
a place to bury strangers and crystal castles are definitive proof of the song meaning absolutely nothing in today's musical climate.

^^
if you can't pick out basic song structures from APTBS' music, you are either a Francisco Lopez enthusiast or deaf.

In response to 7:40PM
Hum are doing two one-off shows in Chicago New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Not sure if they are re-forming or just reminiscing, but in any case I'm massively stoked. If the second show isn't sold out yet, try craigslist or just hunt around the internet (won mine on a charity auction). Super fun timez... I finally get to hear Apollo live!

Artie Lange in Jersy NYE ow ow!
Posted by Not Artie Lange | November 19, 2008 3:42 PM
CC will be a blast - dance your ass off blast. Alice can scream all she wants but the beat will come through and your ass will shake.
Let's just hope that MHOW has more than three bartenders working NYE...last year the bar coverage was terrible for Mr. Brownstone.

Alice Glass has a smokin hot body and lets the people up front feel it up. Can't hate on this band, people.
Posted by Anonymous | November 22, 2008 10:25 AM
If you think that's "a smokin hot body" you've clearly never seen a naked woman before.
Posted by Anonymous | November 22, 2008 10:43 AM
Alice is sooooooo fucking hot. It's unbelievable.
