unofficial survey question here: how many of you are less likely to see shows with the economy going downhill? If prices are deflating for everything else, concert prices should also be cheaper, but they keep rising. Translation: I'm broke nigga, I'm broke!

"David Byrne?"
no tickets yet.

35 bucks for crystal castles??
Posted by Anonymous | November 21, 2008 12:19 PM
technically, 35$ for Crystal Castles makes sense at Music Hall of Williamsburg.
they charged $20 at Webster Hall, so I guess they're trying to make the same amount of $$$ given the venue's capacity discrepancy

also - it's freakin new years...everything is expensive.
that's pretty cheap for nye

yeah, like the other person said, this is New Years Eve pricing more than anything.

NYE shows are always more expensive. I think Mr Brownstone @ MHOW last year was $30... and that's for a cover band.
Posted by wembley | November 21, 2008 12:33 PM
you can by a real crystal castle for $35, and probably get more fun out of it.
Posted by jan janson | November 21, 2008 12:33 PM
I agree. It's really difficult to go out to a bar or club on New Years without paying out the ass. I'm starting with Crystal Castles, house parties later.

What is this real crystal castle you speak of? Can I live in it? Can I pour boiling oil over the sides, onto message board trolls?

Thanks for the MMJ ticket-release heads-up BV! I just scooped up 2 nice loge seats.
I may not have a job come NYE, but we'll party like it's (New Year's Eve) 2009!
