After a busy CMJ in their own city, Crystal Stilts have announced at least three more NYC shows they'll play before the end of the year including one at Bowery Ballroom with Love is All who they're going on tour with, and one at (le) poisson rouge with Vetiver. All dates and ticket links below...

what's so dumb about conjecture about why a band would not have Canadian dates?
nine times out of ten if bands can't get in, it's because they have some meaningless drug possession conviction from way back when. happens all the time. if you think it's a weird thing to bring up, you've obviously never been in a rock band that had to cross the border.
glad that's not the case here, but it's pretty plausible that it could have been.

OK, I'll agree, Toronto and Montreal are not the real Canada like say effin' Charlottetown, PEI or St John's, Nfld, but T.O. and Montreal are in Canada and are the centres of the Canadian music universe and I happen to live just outside of Toronto which is good for me as a music fan. Hey, if you live in a city/town where good bands never come, why don't you just move to the big city already?
