Terminal 5? Dear god, why do they do they do this. I may just wait and travel to the DC show at 930, which is a great venue.

How is their live show? Regret missing them at Webster.

T5 blows but this is exciting news. looks like i'm going on the road to DC and NC and maybe ATL! those shows will guaranteed be better than T5, sadly

Why do you have to be such a grammar fascist
You need to relax and realize you're on the internet not in grad school.

ugh yeah. Terminal 5 has to be one of the worst venues in the city. Maybe I'll make a trip up to Boston or something hah.

"wow. i really like cut copy, but i would not touch a matt & kim show with a 50 foot pole."
i love when people hate on matt&kim, especially in the context of even more douchey hipster crap like cut copy. newsflash: cut copy is more gimmicky...great taste.

Cut Copy sounded lifeless at Studio B this summer. I can only imagine what Terminal 5 will be like. It's too bad; I love the record.

cut copy at webster was a super happy fun show. WILL GO AGAIN!

Saw Cut Copy with Presets @ 9:30 in Sep. Total let down, Presets played first. Cut Copy show was really boring and the crowd was even worse... Left early and was pissed I did not travel a little north that night to see a Carl Craig DJ gig...

Matt and Kim don't belong in Terminal 5. They're not a big venue band, they only have a drummer and a keyboardists. C'mon. They play small places. It only worked at McCarren Park over the summer because it was outside and they had the Rude Mechanical Orchestra play for some songs. I don't like to be a downer or negative, but I think this show is going to be awful (and I like both bands):-/

cut copy were a little flat at webster, but overall great show. fun, dance rock goodness. don't hate. i've already got my tix for T5.

Matt & Kim shows are always a good time! That being said, this is far from a proper Matt & Kim show...which would be one in BK somewhere, with a shit ton of 16 year olds stage diving! Here's to hoping that they play a late night show somewhere.

T5 is awful
'nuff said

Show was sick. Matt + Kim rocked I'm glad they're getting more exposer at bigger venus. They deserve it. Cut Copy sounded much better this time than Webster Hall (Presets were a lot better). And screw D.C. and Boston. NYC REPRESENT!!!

this show was a happy time all around. knightlife was a nice touch. music snobs need to quit hating. I used to hate T5 but now I am happy to be able to enjoy that awesome sound and get away from the crowds. woot.

Can someone tell me what all the hipsters problem is with Terminal 5?
I saw Wolf Parade there over the summer and Modest Mouse last week and both times thought the show was great and had no problems with the sound...
Posted by Anonymous | March 22, 2009 4:18 PM
The show was GREAT. Both bands.
Posted by Anonymous | March 23, 2009 3:58 AM
also I hated t5 the last time i saw a show there but somehow this one was pretty good. the crowd was a bit much for me
