Fucked Up is the single most awful band alive.

Seeing ezra sing those lyrics

I always took Ezra Koenig for more of a "Parents Just Don't Understand" type of guy . . .
Posted by ChrisD | November 24, 2008 11:18 PM
ezra used to be in total war, which was a hardcore band
you ivy league nerds don't know shit
Posted by Anonymous | November 24, 2008 11:19 PM
this is so terrible. it looks like a drunken frat daddy got on stage to be cool and fit in with the band.

see 11:19 post... this guy knows his way around hardcore

Fitting. Both boring and immaterial bands.

I really hope VW's next cd is heading in this general direction

Ezra tore shit up in the band Total War. He has been in so many different types of bands over the years, it's easy to look at Vampire Weekend as another phase or style for him. I bet his next album will be a lot different.
Just wait until somebody leaks "The Ring Cycle" and "Total Glamour".

i cringed...what a douche.
and fucked up suck...they're like a bad hardcore cover band.
Posted by Anonymous | November 25, 2008 11:01 AM
i have some ezra demos (pre vampire weekend stuff, but still while he was in college). are they really worth leaking?
Posted by Anonymous | November 25, 2008 11:24 AM
No. Band doesn't matter

If Nidge (R.I.P.) the deceased guitarist for Blitz who wrote "Someone's Gonna Die" knew that some famous, over-priviledged, Ivy League dweeb was getting attention for singing this song, he'd spin in his grave.

Ezra guests on a couple tracks on the new Handsome Pheasant's album.
