Girl Talk, Hearts of Darknesses & Grand Buffet @ Terminal 5, NYC - pics
photos by Mike Lerner
"Anybody heard of Girl Talk? I am just now finding out about this dude - last night to be exact." [Morgan]

"Isabel and I went to the Girl Talk concert last night at Terminal 5. The show was great. I saw Girl Talk for the first time over the summer at the All Points West festival. I commented then that - "I will definitely see him again." Isabel commented last night - "We need to see him every time he comes to NY". It was that good. The crowd was so into it and the dancers on stage were out of control. Isabel's favorite was some guy in a bear mascot costume!"The massive Girl Talk played the massive Terminal 5 in NYC on Saturday AND Sunday AND will again on Tuesday (11/18). Sunday night's openers were Hearts of Darknesses and Grand Buffet. More pictures from that show below...

whoa... Terminal 5 looks like it was the most annoying place in the world last night. How did they fit so many douches in there?
I especially love the first picture... the guy in the upper right hand corner rocking out while checking his cell phone. I shall name him uber-douche.
Posted by wembley | November 17, 2008 8:42 AM
great catch on the guy in the first picture, i was overwhelmed by all the douches that i overlooked the grand-pubah douche himself.

Looks like Girl Talk was checking his mail during the whole entire concert!

Ok you may not like Gillis as a person and think he's a d-bag, but do you like "Night Ripper" and "Feed the Animals"?
I don't really know anything Girl Talk on a personal level, but I do think that his music is awesome. Sure it's not original stuff, but what he does with it is amazing!

I think i'll save the $100 scalped ticket price and buy the DVD...It looks sweaty and smelly. I love his music but it looks like I hate his fans.
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 10:42 AM
I think there were 12 year olds there last night. Terminal 5 was infested by underage kids. For the record, TERMINAL 5 SECURITY are ASSSSHOLLLESSS. They take their $8/hour job wayyyyy to seriouslyyyy.
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 10:45 AM
Hahahah. I feel bad for all the haters on here. Saturday night was amazing. People were there for good times and dancing. I haven't had that much fun at a club in a long time. I couldn't imagine being there and not having a great time. I'll go back every time he is in NYC.

i will forever regret going to this show. girl talk = ok. crowd = horrible. just kids pushing to get to the stage.

Girl Talk is the new Huey Lewis. His fans looks like a bunch of smelly teenage preppies.

i had sex in the bathroom. i was rolling on e. i missed my curfew and i told my parents they just dont get me. i love girl talk, he makes bad music into more bad music and then convinces me its good music with a dance beat.

oh and don't believe the hype. They sold tickets for 22 dollars at the door.

Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 11:10 AM
in amsterdam you can walk backstage at paradiso or milk weg and nary a question is raised as to why you are heading to the dressing rooms. a happy medium in regards to security should be maintained.
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 11:11 AM
Terminal 5 security is the worst. The last time I went there, I was felt up so much that I half expected the guard to send me flowers the next morning.
The guys outside Webster Hall are kind of assholes, but they don't search your pockets or anything. I think the Bowery and MHOW guys are all pretty good.
Posted by wembley | November 17, 2008 11:14 AM
so many haters, i had an amazing time last night.
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 11:19 AM
If I were 20 this would definitely seem fun. But I'm sadly grumpy and 30 and honestly as much as I enjoy Girl Talk, I don't think I can handle being pressed up against by a bunch of sweaty teenagers with Kanye glasses. I'll feel creepy and old and depressed.

You're a douche
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 11:42 AM
the one security guard on the right side of the stage (stage left) was a good guy. Took his job very seriously, but showed respect to the audience throughout. I respect that.
was almost a bit of a downer though since I wanted to get unruly and pissed off
thank you sir. Best wishes to you
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 11:45 AM
"douche" is a word that's only used by "douches"
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 11:45 AM
Saturday's show had the worst crowd at any show I have ever been to period. I saw Girl Talk last year at Bowery and it was great, and the year before at Studio B, and both shows were amazing. Girl Talk sounded great but the show was filled entirely with 16 year olds and frat guys. I litterally had 3 full beers spilled on me, my girlfriend got lucky she only got one beer and some mixed drink. I don't think I am ever going to see Girl Talk again, I want to avoid douche bag central.
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 11:52 AM
Bowery Ballroom security guys are the worst in this city. Why can't Bowery ever hire new guys???
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 11:57 AM
Saturday night, my dad gave me $40 if I was to go to church with him and my mom the next day. I took the money, went to see Girl Talk, got into some heavy petting with a speaker, and I drank a whole beer on my own! The next day, I went to church without washing up (but I did wear the new shirt that my mom bought me from the Gap). It feels good to be 22 and a bad ass. Rock on Girl Talk, rock on!
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 12:05 PM
MHOW security guys are the worst in the city. The worst. Total amateurs, stoned off their asses, feeling up the crowd.
the Bowery Ballroom security guys always seemed like pros to me, I never see a hassle there. T5 seems to vary a lot, depending on the show.
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 12:08 PM
Girl Talk is such a yawn. Of course a bunch of tweens and frat daddy's will be there because those are the only people that will stomach that kind of no brainer yawn type boring party music. All they are thinking is, "God, I looooove RADIOHEAD and I looooveeeee Jay Z so anyone who mixes the two together is a genius!" Such crap! Girl Talk should just start playing university frat halls or something.
Posted by Dooder City | November 17, 2008 12:09 PM
MHOW security dudes are awful. they're alternately stoned as shit and out of it, or else randomly unpredictably aggro.
The worst of it is they pretty much let those guys run that club.

i'm glad the photographer got pics of all the young kids in the front having blast instead of all of you old snooty farts in the back apparently not having a good time
i was up on the third floor for the entire saturday show. i didn't even see the stage most of the time, but i did have plenty of room to dance around like a maniac. had a great time.
Posted by jack | November 17, 2008 12:16 PM
at MHOW they're always pushing through the crowd, trying to get somebody to push back, trying to start fights with the customers. Stoned and aggro at the same time.
it's funny how they're always shining flashlights to find smokers, when they're the ones who smell like Bob Marley's sweat socks.
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 12:17 PM
yeah, it's pretty bizarre that MHOW doesn't replace those shitheads.
newsflash, Bowery Presents: LOTS OF GUYS WANT WORK!
you don't have to keep hiring these aggressive incompetent clowns

what is it about mash up music that appeal so much to teenagers?
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 12:44 PM
likely because it's mindless: pop samples reproduced through a few computer programs.
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 12:47 PM
I am 24 and had fun at the show even though I got called "ma'am" by a teenage girl in the dance pit.

well, it looks like this night ripper had more than her hands in the air. While B was feeding her own animals, S and C were setting it off. Will B smash her head when she finds out? Can S bounce that to her advantage?
Play your part, B! It might be time to shut the club down. XO XO, Gossip Girl.

Was there Saturday night. The schtick gets old. Fast. And the bouncers were COMPLETE dicks. People were fuming at them all night. Someone called the cops. Disaster.

Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 2:19 PM
I REALLY don't understand everyone's negativity. I was at the Saturday evening show and had an AMAZING time. I started the show down in from of the stage, but yes, the crowd was a bit rough, so I moved, spent the rest of the night dancing my tookas off!
Honestly, everywhere I looked kids had smiles on their faces and were having a great time. Yes, the crowd was young (I'm personally 28 and my friend with me was the same). But let youth have some fun!!
Posted by Matt | November 17, 2008 2:25 PM
I always found the MHOW and even Webster guys to be decent, unlike Bowery Ballroom - they are not human there - they are scary, nasty, evil guys.
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 2:42 PM
this is the third time i've seen him (cleveland and DC previously) and i've got to say that this was the absolute worst. t5 oversold the fucking venue, likely because people could go dance on the stage - and then they STOPPED LETTING PEOPLE UP ON STAGE.
never going to t5 ever again. god-awful.
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 2:45 PM
Security ruined the show for me and my friend saturday night. Definitely the last time I'll ever go to this piece of shit venue. Sound was terrible as well during Death Set and Girl Talk. Was my third time seeing Girl Talk and was a complete let down because of the venue and security.
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 2:57 PM
what's a better way to start off the week than more terminal 5 bashing?
girl talk at terminal 5 bashing, of course.
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 3:01 PM
is this a good concert to pick up hipster girls at ?
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 3:02 PM
Bouncers were getting very rough with some kid they'd kicked out. Throwing him around, slapping him in the face. Seriously. Also the security on the right of the stage was absurd. Kids were trying to rush up so I guess they had to be kind of forceful. But it only made the situation worse. Borderline scary.
Posted by Phil | November 17, 2008 3:04 PM
"is this a good concert to pick up hipster girls at ?"
depends. do you like your hipster girls aged 16 and under from new jersey? if so, girl talk's your show.

Posted by creepy George Gina | November 17, 2008 3:26 PM
Why so much hate on Girltalk? Look at that crowd - it's something called a "good time." y'all just need to stay at home and blog about how [insert ANY Brooklyn band] is so overrated or how you were the first one to listen to the Replacements. You are boring everyone.
Posted by Dazzler | November 17, 2008 3:39 PM
^^^ Awesome. Yeah, some people need to get the fuck off their high horse and go enjoy the show for what it is. Nobody said Girl Talk was The Beatles.
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 4:07 PM
girl talk has outlived his usefulness and is now a cliche.
he was never really that excellent to begin with, just a good time.
lots of other shit is a good time too.
he's attracting a disproportionate amount of money / fame considering how interesting / talented he is (not very), and he hasn't really progressed musically since he initially blew up. He's at the point now that he's doing the exact same shit he was doing 2 years ago (not a good thing, artists that are good change over time) except that the venues are bigger and the main composition of his audience are now people with poor taste and only a passing interest in music.
all that spells BORING and passe. Call me an elitist, a hipster, whatever, but you know I'm right.
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 4:10 PM
whatever man, but seriously, anyone have pics from saturday, i looked great.
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 4:17 PM
"Bouncers were getting very rough with some kid they'd kicked out. Throwing him around, slapping him in the face."
I think they were trying to help like: "Wake up hipsters, this music sucks, go home".
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 4:28 PM
i don't think his music was ever aimed at pleasing the types of people who post on the brooklyn vegan comment section.
i thought last nights show was great.

Well, I am going on Tues and hope its as awesome as everyone says.
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 5:37 PM
"girl talk is exactly intended for the kind of people who post on brooklyn vegan."
girl talk samples what he likes and what he follows. he would never touch 95% of the artists covered on this site. do you think he is really aiming to please this crowd? i don't think so. i'm sure this site and its followers are a complete joke to him.
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 5:57 PM
"He's at the point now that he's doing the exact same shit he was doing 2 years ago (not a good thing, artists that are good change over time)"
Except for the fact that he has progressed from glitch to the mashup artist he is today in the span of the past two years; not to mention that within his mashup music, Feed The Animals shows a marked shift from Night Ripper; not to mention that there is no Ten Commandments of Music that says that "artists that are good change over time." Nice try though.

ladies and gentlemen, we have found the sole Girl talk superfan that exists on planet earth.
his name is FMchubs.
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 7:05 PM
Let me just say, as one of the people on stage standing next to Gregg Gillis, Sunday night was hands down fucking AWESOME. The crowd on stage was amazing. Everyone was dancing and into every minute of it. I had a blast. Although we all know Night Ripper or Feed the Animals aren't albums of the year in any sense, Gregg Gillis does get people to dance like maniacs. Honestly, if I could I'd buy a ticket for Tuesday's show in a heartbeat. It was one of the most insane shows I've been to, and the most fun I've had in a long time.
Posted by kayfe | November 17, 2008 7:08 PM
girl talk shows are definitely fun, but only because of the way the audience reacts to it, not because the music is mindblowing.
that's fine but at some point the bottom will drop out because the music just isn't that hard to replicate. seriously, anyone could do what he's doing, he's just enjoyed a perfect storm of weird spiraling success. a thousand clones will do in the live freak out mash up trend.
all that said, the guy appears to have his heart in the right place and wants to use his popularity to help promote smaller, more edgy bands.
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2008 7:16 PM
Let me just say as one of the people who was standing next to the DJ at my cousin's bar mitzvah- The DJ played AWESOME songs... everyone was dancing like maniacs. It was crazy! It was INSANE! Everyone there was into every minute of it!

Oh, whoops, forgot my name. It would have made my comment right above this one a lot more poignant.
Posted by FMchubs | November 18, 2008 12:30 AM
I went to both shows and had a fucking blast! I think his music is very innovative. People who say "anyone could do this" have no clue. You can say that about any band.
Also, no one has mentioned how at both shows, Gregg stuck around after his performance, went into the audience, and met every single person who wanted to wait to say "Hello." I thought that was great.
Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 2:56 AM
""ladies and gentlemen, we have found the sole Girl talk superfan that exists on planet earth."
Yeah, he only has one superfan. That's why he sold out Terminal 5 three nights. He's critically acclaimed and hugely popular. Wake up.

I still prefer "Singing DJ" Jens Lekman to Girl Talk.
Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 3:01 AM

Innovative bands? The vast majority of his stuff is Top 40 tripe. The biggest audience reaction Saturday came from a Kelly Clarkson mashup. Please.
Posted by Billy | November 18, 2008 11:23 AM
seriosly i had to laugh at that "Singing DJ" Jens Lekman comment- so true! there you have the proof that not everyone can just get up there and rock the crowd, as a matter of fact people like that are few and far between.
Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 11:29 AM
oh please, I remember when Sonic Youth used to cover madonna, and that got the biggest reactions as well, so that makes sonic youth crap?
Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 11:31 AM
I like Girl Talk, I'm not going to say it's most amazing thing ever but it serves a purpose in my world. I drink, I dance, I say "that's neat" when I hear something interesting, and then I move on.
That said, the singing DJ Jens Lekman thing was so bad and to compare the two almost isn't fair. You can hate on Girl Talk, call him a DJ, whatever (and I think many of the arguments are fairly valid) but Jens dancing to records was painful and the crowd reaction was fairly indicative of that.

What's wrong with Kelly Clarkson?

does Terminal 5 have a coat check! i don't want to fucking freeze while waiting @ doors!

"Yeah, he only has one superfan. That's why he sold out Terminal 5 three nights. He's critically acclaimed and hugely popular. Wake up."
I'd bet money that if you polled the people going into Terminal 5 for those shows, ninety percent wouldn't be able to tell you a single Girl Talk song title, most wouldn't be able to tell you what his albums are called, and a substantial number of them wouldn't even be clear on what the band is called.
that's the kind of fans he's got. he's a passing trend.
that's fine, nothing against him, but don't you think it's time to find some other party dude to play stupid songs and make you dance?
Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 1:12 PM
whether or not he's a trend or a hipster or a hippie or anything he is very smart. he has capitalized on a niche and knows how to put on a concert where the fan feels involved. he has sold out terminal 5 three nights in a row ($105,000 profit for him). Say what you will, this is a savvy kid who knows how to put on a good time.
Is DangerMouse not a precursor to this? Do not all musicians rip off a subsequent period or artist to make there music? People need to get over themselves, their mentalities and the cliche of being against a popular act and learn that no matter what- a good time sells.
Ask the whores of Babylon about it.
Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 1:19 PM
I think Dan Deacon and Girl Talk should have a dance-off battle. It would be show of the century.
Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 1:48 PM
it sells - for awhile!
when was the last time you hard someone mention Dangermouse?
I care about music that will matter years down the road, why would you want to work with a disposable trend, except for the money? The music industry and all it's attendant bullshit isn't worth it for the money, especially if you'e the back office staff, not the artist.
I feel a little sorry for the dudes who feel the need to defend stuff like Girl Talk on message boards. He's clearly not going to have any staying power, he's not music that means anything to anyone, he's not even getting better and better as a novelty act.
It's sad that you, booking agent, or manager, or label guy, or publicist, it's sad that you waste hours and hours and hours of your life facilitating and defending money grab bullshit like Girl Talk (who would do an ad for fucking Microsoft!) when I'm sure you got into this biz because you wanted to promote good music.
And look at you, you're devoting your lives to helping create trash and all of you ground crew back office staff don't even make a lot of money doing it!

anyone sneak and/or know if it's possible?
Posted by blezzie | November 18, 2008 1:52 PM
I respect what you say but the music industry is an industry. And I personally am not making a penny off of Girl Talk- he is in fact ripping artist's illegally but the fact is that he sells out venues.
There are no more Bob Dylan's or Janis Joplin's or Pete Seger's or Nina Simone's. That is not what the market wants. The market wants David Archueleta and David Cook to duet with Solange or Kelly Clarkson.
Music is an art form but the music industry is a business. You read BrooklynVegan because you are interested in what the Music Industry is feeding you. You are exactly who the industry is trying to reach. If it makes money, and sells, that is all that matters to the industry for which Girl Talk, Bob Dylan (Cadillac), Bob Marley (Jamaica Tourism Board), etc are part of.
Get over yourself

all the people who are bagging on the younger kids dancing on stage are clearly jealous that they werent up there having the time of their lives on a school night haaaaa.
sunday night was siiick.

2:00 you're right about the music industry, but you are wrong about who you'e talking to.
there is a different way of doing things in the field of promoting and advocating for music, and there are people out there doing that in a different, better, classier, more respectful way. The "music industry" doesn't have a monopoly on music.
I love music too much to leave it to the music industry to fuck up.
It's important to call out the schlock and the phonies. Eventually their hubris will be their downfall, and I'd like to get that process moving along.
Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 2:07 PM
how do you respect what someone has to say and then tell them to get over themselves? that doesn't add up
Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 2:16 PM
No one has a monopoly on art except the industry for which that art is distributed and created in. Do you think Bob Dylan charges $70 per ticket because he wants to inspire? Delusion. Yes, there is something romantic about the free artist but a free artist needs bread and shelter too. And since this government does not support the artist he or she has to rely upon the industry to make money. Even "independent" artists are still trying to make a dime.
Money is the root of all evil, I will give you that. But getting money for services rendered, one way or another, won't change- no matter how highly you anoint the artist to be.
Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 2:23 PM
alright 2:23, you sure took a lot of words to say nothing
Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 2:26 PM
99.99999999% of all artists, musicians, writers make no money at all
Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 2:32 PM
I have a new respect for Girl Talk seeing how he makes older people so furious... who knew? even if I didn't love his records (which I do) I would love him for making uptight folkies bang their heads on their keyboards Don Music-style and rant against the Kids Who Aren't Listening To Real Music.
I bet these are the same people who used to argue the Ramones sucked because they couldn't play their instruments.
Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 2:34 PM
nah, Girl Talk sucks because it's shit
Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 2:36 PM
"I bet these are the same people who used to argue the Ramones sucked because they couldn't play their instruments."
You think that Girl Talk will be talked about as much as the Ramones in 30 years!!!!! Kid, shouldn't you be cleaning-up your room or else?
Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 2:47 PM
The government should offer artists' subsidies like they do in nearly every civilized Western Europe nation.
Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 3:06 PM
the government should offer my ass a subsidy for shaking so fine at the Girl Talk show!
Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 3:11 PM
Ha ^ ur stoopid.
Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 3:13 PM
I never understood the "they/he/she won't be remembered in X years" argument. Does that really impact your enjoyment of the artist that much? It might not be the best example but I liked Beulah quite a bit. Do I expect many people to know or care about them in 10 years let alone 30? Nope. Do I listen to their records differently knowing that? No way.
Posted by mp77 | November 18, 2008 3:13 PM
I didn't like Macarena. But they play it 10 years after it blew up. Does that make it good by default?
Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 3:15 PM
Girl Talk should mix Macarena with Yesterday.
That would be ironic.
Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 3:16 PM
"The government should offer artists' subsidies like they do in nearly every civilized Western Europe nation."
no this doesn't work either. the music scenes in Europe and Canada and everywhere else that subsidizes contemporary rock music are terrible.
artists should just be guilted into treating their art respectfully, not licensing their work to sell shoes or cell phones, and into charging reasonable prices for tickets.
this was the way things were only recently. respectable rock bands only started having their songs ion commercials by the late 80's, and ticket prices only started being routinely stratospheric in the last 10 or 15 years.
Here's to hoping that the coming Great Depression II cleans some of this bloated music industry shit up for us.
Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 3:20 PM
You cannot stop greed with a Great Depression.
Instead, when there is scarcity, there is more greed.
Take heed.
Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 3:26 PM
but you sure can stop gouging with scarcity of funds! if people don't have enough money to go out, they aren't going to be buying any $60 concert tickets
and if people can't afford computers than Microsoft won't be spending tens of thousands on indie celebrity spokesmen.

Almost all music nowadays is completely disposable. We're living through the fall of the music industry. It's all shit... at least historically speaking. In this industry, anyone who can come up from nothing and create this much national excitement, especially by doing something so brazenly illegal (and consequently starting national discussion of unfair licensing law), should at least be respected for that... aside from personal taste.
And don't tell me that Girl Talk will be soon forgotten when we're posting on a message board that worships tons of bands that will never be heard outside of the NYC circuit. He already has more staying power than almost anyone currently on BVs main page.

GIRL TALK YAH! Mix that Run DMC shit with Mariah Carey's Fantasy and a few bloops of Beach Boys. Make us cry laughing but keep it real! Keeep it realll Son!

Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 3:46 PM
my friend who went saturday said GT went on at 10:30 on the dot, because of T5's tightly enforced curfew. ended 12:15ish

By looking at the outfits and sea of green, it seems like Girltalk is the new Rave. One more year and it'll be over.
Posted by Hasrock | November 18, 2008 8:18 PM
holy crap this looks TERRIBLE
Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 9:21 PM
Girl Talk and Matt & Kim together seem like they would be a good bill. Both are lots of fun, have no talent and have extremely (young underage)annoying fans! My how taste in music has fallen to an all-time low. Nice colorful pix though!
Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 11:05 PM
Were they actually selling alcohol to all those kids?

Anon 10:47 said: "Saturday night was amazing"
What exactly is your criteria for "amazing"?
People have fun at a Britney Spears, Hannah Montana or Justin Timberlake concert. I wouldn't want to go to one of those either but at least they play their own music!
Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2008 11:38 PM
GT is in it for the dough. he's making tons of it. pretty obvious that this is a great way for him to play some top 40 to clueless teenagers and make bank...you know he was thinking it and, frankly, i bet a lot of people are kicking themselves because it would have been so EASY to be girl talk. I mean, I'm no gillis-lover, but let's be honest, lots of us listen to Diplo, Fabriclive, etc...similar situation, better dj-ing for sure, but it's essentially the same thing.
people just can't stand his fans or that they enjoy his mixes of popular songs. I'm telling you, if i could have picked up ableton a couple of years ago and made it big (albeit for a short time) like GT, i probably would've done it...

ATTENTION: TO THE PEOPLE POSTING TO WHAT THEY DID NOT EXPERIENCE
Do you retards have anything better to do then come on this page and start talking about how he's just in it for the money or his music sucks...First off his tickets range from 15 to 25 bucks... If he was as greedy as you people make him out to be he would be charging way more.... Also if you think his music sucks you probably wherent at the show so what the fuck are you on this page for anyway LOL don't you have anything better to do you fuckin miserable losers.... I went Saturday and Sunday night got on stage both nights and had a fuckin insane time not many shows compare to how wild the crowd gets except gay fuckin slipknot kill your self music...if you would like to see who is behind this post scroll up to the guy with no shirt and his tounge out... Yours Truly.... If you wanna post something back to me the names jojo

I find it absolutely hilarious that people are having an indepth conversation about Girl Talk. Seriously? The bottom line is, people love to get wasted and dance. Who cares if the music is substantial. Do I love listening to Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, the classics, and something with actual substance? Of course. But Girl Talk's listening base is meant for the sole purpose of being fun. That's all. I think that many of us are delving way, way too deep here. Gregg Gillis's mash-ups are simply meant for the drunken drugged up masses, and those of us who just want to get sweaty, have a good time, and dance like a total asshole. If you don't like it, then I guess it's not your thing, which is understandable. But for those of us who enjoy acting like drugged out 13 year-olds from Flashdance in day-glo 80s garb (because you can't do that every day), will you just let us have our fun and leave us in peace?
