Can't NYC get more "exciting NYE" bands???
I remember when Flaming Lips/Wilco at MSG couple yrs ago was lots of fun....but since then, it's been kind of same/lame
2008 NYE wishful thinking (adding shows where I don't think NYE shows aren't booked yet....)
1) Daft Punk/Aphex Twin/The Faint at Terminal 5.....2 shows (9pm/1am)
2) Radiohead/Stephen Malkmus at Radio City
3) The Mars Volta/The Flaming Lips/Broken Social Scene at Irving Plaza
What would be your NYE show?

This is as good as it gets. See the Voice's Best of issue in September.
That's the Village Voice. You'll see it around town once you're settled in, and surely someone will tell you about Lenny Kaye. Jonny would be happy to. Of course, Lenny's no Malkmus or Volta, but darn it, we'll just have settle.

I smoked a joint with Lenny Kaye once.
Righteous.
