We are pleased to announce To Willie, the new full length recording from Brooklyn's Phosphorescent. Recorded in the band's warehouse space in Brooklyn during August and September 2008, To Willie is the follow-up to Phosphorescent's 2007 breakthrough album Pride. On To Willie, Matthew Houck and co., have taken on the Willie Nelson catalog, digging deep, and recording 11 of their favorite tunes. However, To Willie is more than a covers record - Phosphorescent makes these songs their own, while paying tribute to an all-time great. Phosphorescent will tour everywhere this winter and spring. Stay tuned for dates.
Phosphorescent and Virgin Forest end their current tour with a hometown show at the Bell House in Brooklyn tonight/Friday (11/28). More pictures from a show Phos played at Music Hall of Williamsburg with Sunset Rubdown back in September, below...
