It's been a minute since Asobi Seksu played a NYC show. Catch them tonight, Saturday November 8th, @ Santos Paty House. They're sharing a bill with the Jealous Girlfriends who played some shows during CMJ including one at the new Studio @ Webster Hall. That's where the pictures in this post are from. More of them below...

I hope this is not yet another rock band chick, honostly I am into rap but sometimes before I go to sleep I put on my tv and switch to mtv and listen to rock for a few minutes I think she is pretty good.

the jealous girlfriends suck. they play pretentious, melody-less crap. there, I said it.

Unfortunately, I fell for the hype that was around the Jealous Girlfriends last year and went to a show they had in the Bowery Ballroom. It was pretty standard genericky (if thats even a word) melodic rock and their live show was not very engaging, noone looked like they were into the music at all.
Maybe it was a bad night for them, but their recordings sound much better than their live show.

i'd elect obama

At 3:09 - maybe "generic" was the word you were looking for. It's already an adjective, after all.
