Another year, another set of Pogues shows in the United States in March. There's no mystery this time though whether they'll be a show on St. Patrick's Day in NYC. There definitely won't, because the March 17th show is already announced and that's in Washington DC. The current NY dates are March 12 & 13 at Roseland and tickets go on sale Friday at 10AM. All dates below...
The Pogues - 2009 Tour Dates
March 9: Atlanta, GA, Tabernacle
March 12 & 13: New York, NY, Roseland
March 16 & 17: Washington, DC, 9:30 Club
March 21: Boston, MA, House of Blues

The body of work this band has is pretty stunning.

"but is it worth $63?"
you really should not need to ask that

Pogues = over-rated
I will be at the saw doctors

The Saw Doctors are still around??? I thought they faded away after that whole Pocketful of Kryptonite thing.

Real productive, thanks for the input. listen to your shit, I'm guessing Dave Matthews Band, and leave us out of your bitchiness if you don't like it.
Dude, you're confusing the Saw Doctors with the Spin Doctors. Or you're making a joke, please make a funny one next time.
Saw Doctors are OK, but saying they're better than the Pogues is like saying Badfinger are better than the Beatles.
But I'm not paying $63. Was definitely worth it once, don't need it again. Not in this economy.

Yeah, Dave Matthews. That's what I listen to... The Pogue's are garbage. You're condesending post could be done without. Did your Mother raise you to talk that way??? If you're not sure, just ask her b/c I am sure you still live with her.

It's Pogues, not Pogue's. It's not a thing that belongs to Shane MacGowan and his bandmates.
from now on I want comments only from smart people.
And put away your copy of Sting's Greatest Hits.
So how's the new Buena Vista Social Club?

i love the pogues. but $63 is a lot of scratch.

That's the best you could come up with? You're corny. Turn your webcam off and go make some friends. If anyone could put up with your patronizing attitude and opinons for more than a second.

You know, Shane called and said they're quitting the tour because you don't like them. They figured that any anonymous person who would go out of his way to read a story about a band he doesn't like and spend time talking shit about them is just too important to ignore.

63 is a lot, but they can command it, and good for them. They have a ton of fans for whom this has become an annual tradition. I went once, and as a huge fan, it was fantastic, but not sure i can do it this year. It IS a lot in this economy.
