Jay-Z is better than Oasis.

Bloc Party def sucks. That is one thing I am sure of in life.

The show I saw at Webster Hall was so annoying. It was one of the worst crowds I've ever encountered at a show. People pushing and shoving like it was some nu metal show...so lame.

Having this at T5 all but guarantees it won't sell out. I hate that place.

Considering they have sold out two nights at United Palace two years ago, I'm sure this show will eventually be full.

Should be fun, liking the new album a lot. By the way, does anyone on this site like ANY venue that's bigger than Bowery Ballroom?

Jonas Brothers = better than Bloc Party.

I am sure a Bloc PArty show these days is a frat daddy underage party.

Posted by Dooder City | December 20, 2008 6:06 PM

6:06 - they'll complain about any venue, honestly, can you think of a single venue that these people havent complained about?

Posted by Anonymous | December 20, 2008 6:30 PM

BAM, for starters.

I like a lot of places that are bigger than Bowery. Hell, I even prefer Madison Square Garden to Terminal 5. Pit section for the Neil Young / Wilco show was great and it cost one third of the price of regular seats. You could find tickets for the pit section for even lower than that on craigslist. With so many dumbasses living in the city, you can get into pretty much any show at a reasonable price and get a decent spot if you know what you're doing.

Bloc Party shows are mostly enjoyable as long as you don't have anything stuck in your ass like most know-it-alls here. Still I don't see myself going to this show even for free because of the venue.

Location aside, Wellmont is pretty hard to complain about. Good sound for the venue size and great sightlines.

suck-ass band

Not going to knock it, until I see the show

3:06,

Glad the kids bumping around having fun bothered you. That's the whole point: to piss off the old folks!

Hope you stay up in mezzanine at the T5 show.

Here's a crazy idea: if you don't like Bloc Party, and don't like Terminal 5, don't go to the show. The people who want to go can enjoy it, and you can sit at home and flame on these post boards. Everybody wins.

Sient Alarm was good. What the hell happened?

Posted by Anonymous | December 22, 2008 11:09 AM

Bloc Party is putting out some of the best music right now. Period. They have come a long way and have truly matured as a band. Anyone with an open mind could see that.

Posted by Anonymous | December 22, 2008 10:57 PM

oasis is the pits.

"Bloc Party is putting out some of the best music right now. Period. They have come a long way and have truly matured as a band. Anyone with an open mind could see that."

You're right. It's about having an open mind. One so open that my brain and better judgement can fall out, as seemingly it has for you.

Everything after Silent Alarm is pure crap.

Let's see you make better music.

stop the whining people, wow ! Btw, Bloc Party was great at Webster , but dude is right the crowd was terrible. It WAS a bunch of annoying frat-boy dickheads and girls in cocktail dresses walking around. Other then that, lots of fun
