Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines sued for defamation
"Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines is the target of a defamation lawsuit by the stepfather of one of three 8-year-old boys slain in 1993.
Maines spoke out for three people convicted of the slayings and alleged the stepfather was instead involved in the killings." [AP/Huffington Post]

@elbee - dude are you retarded? There are TWO theatrical documentaries about this case, and that stepdad is a certifiable fucktard, if not a murder. These kids got railroaded for wearing black clothes, basically.

Paradise Lost is a must see. It taught me that if I ever drive through West Memphis, keep the windows up and the sound low if I need to listen to Ride the Lightning.

Yo elbee, The West Memphis Three's shaky conviction is pretty well-known and documented. It's not exactly a conspiracy theory to suggest the verdict was a hair unfounded.

It is an awesome thing that this is being mentioned on BV, however, you could have looked into it a tad, maybe, huh?
The story behind these murders and the trial that followed is so fascinating and scary that everyone should know about it.
The bottom line is that three boys were convicted of these murders because they lived in a small town and they listened to metal. It was a modern day witch trial. For more info go to www.wm3.org
