« The Black Keys & Lucero add 2nd NYC show at Terminal 5 | DAN DEACON - NYC show w/ 15 piece live ensemble (So Percussion, Ponytail), tour dates, new album, some pics »

David Cross (you may know him as the Crane from the movie Kung Fu Panda) is confirmed to appear with Eugene Mirman at the previously mentioned Tearing the Veil of Maya holiday show at Union Hall in Brooklyn on December 7th. Tickets are now on sale. That's one day before David appears at Knitting Factory with Marnie Stern and Fred Armisen.
Eugene Mirman is confirmed to appear at Variety Shac's Farewell to the Knit (at the Knit) on December 17th. Also on the bill: Tigers and Monkeys (a band that is often on the bill of comedy shows), Jon Glaser and Stella's Michael Showalter. Tickets are on sale.
Stella performed two shows at Union Hall this past Saturday and will be appearing at Nokia Theatre December 9th and 10th.
Demetri Martin plays UCB tonight, Monday December 1st.
ALSO TONIGHT (MONDAY): @ Pianos - It Is It (free comedy) w/ Pete Holmes, Hannibal Burress, Roger Hailes, Noah Garfinkle, and others.

You know what David Cross is? Not funny anymore. Has he got a new set of hateful jokes about his dogs? Has his relationship with some TV starlet faded yet? We need new material about how pathetic he is.

I'm a big Cross fan, and last night's holiday show set was pathetic. The show itself was strange...starting strong and ending weak. It went something like this:
Eugine Mirman opens the show and does a little something in between all the guests.
John Mulaney: really funny. I think he's going to be big.
John Oliver: Pretty solid.
David Cross: Weak as hell.
John Wesley Harding plays 4 Christmas songs: He is boring and it was a strange way to end a holiday show.
Disappointed wit hte second half of the show, but still worth 10 bucks I suppose.
