Friendly Fires

Friendly Fires and Lemonade shared a bill at The Annex in Manhattan last night (12/9). Kyle liked Lemonade even more than he liked them when they opened for El Guincho. Friendly Fires took the stage around 11 PM and played for around 45 minutes to the overfilled LES venue. There was lots of energy, lots of sweat, frontman Ed Macfarlane in the crowd for a song, and no encore. More pictures below...

Dude, that show was sick!

Friendly Fires really know how to put on a show and you can tell they really enjoy what they're doing.

As far a Lemonade goes, I have had their album but it never really did much for me. I was hoping that would change w/ seeing them live and if anything it made me like them less. Them as musicians is fine. You can still tell they are developing their sound and they are right on the cusp, but their lead singer sounded like he was singing in tongues the whole time. He was god-awful.

does anyone have more crowd shots?

Were there a lot of over aggressive gaysians in the audience or I am wrong?

Friendly Fires were awesome last night.

Lemonade? Interesting music but the lead singer was awful. I've heard better singing at Karaoke.

If the crowd sucked, you were obviously there so you are included in that. What could be done at the annex that would of pleased you oh holy one??? The place is as big as a shoe box.
