not just Tuesday, inauguration day!

Posted by Anonymous | December 3, 2008 7:08 PM

Great lineup (well, not VG) but why in Bushwick? Hopefully they will do a Manhattan show as well.

Posted by Anonymous | December 3, 2008 7:39 PM

Enough.

Posted by Anonymous | December 3, 2008 7:50 PM

why in bushwick?

first of all, Danbro ain't isn't Bushwick, it's Williamsburg. Montrose stop.

Secondly, why would a punk show ever make sense in Manhattan? Manhattan is for rich dumbasses.

Posted by Anonymous | December 3, 2008 8:10 PM

8:10 -- come on. Washington Heights/Spanish Harlem anyone? Like most people you're confusing 'Manhattan' with 'Below 120th street".

-- Hell, for many people Manhattan is only 14th street and below.

There's still affordable living uptown is all I'm saying.

Posted by Anonymous | December 3, 2008 8:41 PM

that's one fat fuck.

Posted by bigwillie | December 3, 2008 10:13 PM

Pissed Jeans blows those other 2 bands out of the water. and by BLOWS i mean is good, tee hee hee

brooklynvegan commenters clearly hate the bears. that fact saddens me

Posted by Anonymous | December 4, 2008 8:28 AM

I agree, IMHO, Pissed Jeans are better than Fucked Up.

"Manhattan is for rich dumbasses."

I'm sorry you didn't take the time to study in college and get a better job. Anything east of Bushwick is ghetto, sucks if you have to live there.

Montrose stop is in Williamsburg? What the fuck are you talking about? Are you a Real Estate agent? Seems more Bushwick than Williamsburg, but you might feel pressure explaining that to your parents, who spent 200,000 sending you to Vassar.

Posted by Anonymous | December 4, 2008 9:01 AM

yuck

Posted by Anonymous | December 4, 2008 9:28 AM

dude...recession time...Vassar lowered it's admission by like 15,000 this year. Not to mention...you totally owe that school for The Bravery, The Double and that one guys in Liars who left a few albums ago (not Pat).

Posted by Anonymous | December 4, 2008 9:34 AM

what the fuck is with this blog and picsof fat guys w/ their shirt off!! seriously enough!!!

Posted by c litty | December 4, 2008 9:34 AM

I wish my parents had $200,000 to send me to Vassar

Posted by Anonymous | December 4, 2008 9:41 AM

i want to rape this guy!

Posted by Anonymous | December 4, 2008 9:48 AM

What the hell do we owe Vassar for? The Bravery and The Double? Gimme a break; totally unforgettable bands. That shit is straight up bargain bin. The Double should "owe" Matador Records for their shitty record released way back when . . . maybe we should contact the Vassar endowment.

first if all - for all that I know - flushing ave is the border of bushwick and east williamsburg. so technically this show is in the east williamsburg industrial park neighborhood.

secondly, if you want such a show to be in manhattan, maybe you should get your behind off the couch and set one up. like toddP who happens to live in brooklyn, which is more or less why this show is in brooklyn. figures, right?! so stop bitching, go find a place that can host such a show, promote it and deal with all the other shit coming along with it. or just continue going to shit sucking corporate venues like bowery ballsroom.

Bowery Ballroom is corporate? ok....

Posted by Anonymous | December 4, 2008 10:51 AM

actually todd p lives in queens... and bowery IS corporate.. but what do i know

Posted by Anonymous | December 4, 2008 10:57 AM

ok I shouldn't have said brooklyn but "general area" instead regarding where TP lives.
the point was what difference does it make anyway whether it is east williamsburg or bushwick? pretty stupid thing to fight over.

Posted by UN:art:IG | December 4, 2008 11:07 AM

like oh my god! Todd P totally goes to TG I Fridays!

Posted by Vivian Girls | December 4, 2008 11:10 AM

yaaa broooo. bowery is so cooorporate. down with the corporations and free palastine maaaaan

Posted by Anonymous | December 4, 2008 11:21 AM

11:21

I'm glad you enjoy watching shows in environments like bowery or irving plaza. good for you.

Posted by UN:art:IG | December 4, 2008 11:25 AM

You can't compare Bowery and Irving Plaza. Bowery Ballroom = one of the best venues in NYC.

UNartIG, I'm glad you enjoy crappy sound and sightlines

Posted by Anonymous | December 4, 2008 11:42 AM

Im with unartig, I cant put up with the attitudes of the security people at Bowery venues, thats why i dont go there anymore.

Posted by Anonymous | December 4, 2008 12:07 PM

Todd P's a carpetbagger

Posted by Anonymous | December 4, 2008 12:14 PM

There is no "Sluggo's" in Gainesville FL. Where is this show going down?

Posted by Anonymous | December 4, 2008 1:01 PM

we get it . youre fat as fuck

"What the hell do we owe Vassar for? The Bravery and The Double? Gimme a break; totally unforgettable bands. That shit is straight up bargain bin."

You really meant FORGETTABLE, right?

"the point was what difference does it make anyway whether it is east williamsburg or bushwick? pretty stupid thing to fight over."

Exactly, who cares what the name is. The fact remains it is a GHETTO.

In your next life, try studying in college instead of doing bong hits.

Posted by Anonymous | December 4, 2008 11:10 PM

the Montrose stop is not Bushwick and it isn't ghetto either, unless you're from the Upper East Side.

There's a Khim's Millennium Market there and one of those terrible LA Burrito places, it's pretty Williamsburg vibes, unless you haven't been there since 1998.

Posted by Anonymous | December 4, 2008 11:27 PM

"I'm sorry you didn't take the time to study in college and get a better job. Anything east of Bushwick is ghetto, sucks if you have to live there.

there are so many things plainly incorrect/ignorant about this statement, it'd take too long to trod through them all.

suffice to say, YOU ARE AN IDIOT, SIR

Posted by Anonymous | December 4, 2008 11:49 PM

VG playing Philly too? Perhaps? Maybe?

Posted by Anonymous | January 1, 2009 11:49 AM

Anyone know the approximate set times for tonight? Try my best to avoid the Vivian Girls but still see the rest of the show.

Posted by Anonymous | January 20, 2009 10:25 AM

why do all you fucks care about being in good schools and manhattan when youre just going to die anyway.

Posted by Anonymous | January 20, 2009 6:29 PM

I live in East Harlem of Manhattan. It's affordable and I like my neighborhood. Better than seeing trust fund kids riding their fancy bikes in Brooklyn everyday.
