The {NewNew} York Etsy Street team -- a group of sellers from Etsy.com, the online marketplace for handmade goods -- is heading to TriBeCa/SoHo to set up shop in the Knitting Factory. The craft fair will take place from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

A spunky newcomer to the indie shopping scene, the Holiday Handmade Cavalcade is a one day event showcasing more than 30 locally grown purveyors of handcrafted soaps, housewares, ceramics, paper goods, jewelry, accessories, clothing, and original artwork for the shopper looking to support local craft in addition to filling up their holiday stockings.

In the free column, Gimme coffee will keep us all caffeinated, live music from Sigmund Droid & VJ Clay Franklin will provide a soundtrack for the event and the Third Ward will offer workshops in textile design, electronics and collage. Oh, and free totes filled with treats to the first 300 shoppers through the door.
